side off as explained by one person on a forum
so some questions to be asked
does the drum turn
will it turn if you help it
it is unlikely that it will have brushes as most electric appliances use induction motors which are brushless
e50 is the machine sensing the drum failing to turn
it could be a failed start/run capacitor if the drum turns when you help it start
the capacitor is a 6uf capacitor mounted on the motor ( try e-bay)
the fault also may cover not heating
try resetting the machine by disconnecting from the power point for 15 minutes then starting it again
From another Post from Daniel T:
E9 on this hob means a user interface control board fault. This is the touch control board which you press to turn on.
What the service manual says is disconnect the hob from the mains connection and leave for 60 seconds. Then wire it back up and turn back on and see what happens.
If still the same then the user control board needs to be replaced.
To access this you need to remove the hob from the work top and remove the screws holding the glass on all 4 sides of the hob.
Then you can lift the glass top off.
From there you will see the user board in the front its the smaller board.
Replace this and that should cure the fault here.
If you need anymore info just get back to me.

Totally bizarre how stuff gets stuck in the drain!
In many situations the cause of failure is mechanical and not electrical. Pressure sensor usually has three terminals: GND, + 5DC and AC signal, because that always should first check the power supply and then the AC signal, which is usually 44 kHz and means empty tub, 40 kHz means approximately 160mm water in tub, while 36 kHz means approximately 300mm water in tub. So, if there is a power supply voltage +5 DC and AC signal to the PCB, most likely hydraulic system of pressure sensor does not seal well or is clogged, so the PCB does not receive information on the amount of water in the tub even though the pressure sensor is correct.

Please start with your clothes after the washer finishes it's washing cycle.
Take them out and see how dry they are.
They should be nearly dry.
If not, perhaps the reason you are having problems is they are too wet to begin with for the dryer to properly do it's job..
This is not a rare problem.
One possible reason for the clothes not to be dry when the washer finishes is a loose or worn out belt under the washer.
Another problem some washers have, particularly washer/dryer combos, is that they are sometimes not very effective.
In that case, either smaller loads or rerunning the spin cycle at the end of the washing cycle might help you.
God bless your efforts.
This causes a water leakage, which flows inside the bottom of appliance, thus switching on the Aqua Control sensor and generating alarm EF0/EF3.
Be sure to find water leaks and repair the defect.
Incline the washing machine of about 10 cm to spill the water, so that the sensor can operate normally again.

Firstly ......are you saying NO POWER? no lights or display? If not then unplug check mains fuse. If fuse OK. then do test wash. empty out see whether any different. If not then valve inlets? Or Pump if not draining out. DONT TINKER IF NOT CONFIDENT. Electricity kills. BE SAFE.
Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)
According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.
Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.
1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate.
2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.

check your power cord for continuity (ohms). If your power cord checks good, I would look at either the noise filter board or the user interface board or main control board. Start with checking your outlet. make sure it is wired correctly with proper voltage and grounding. You can buy an outlet tester at Lowe's or Home Depot. Really cheap. Has lights on it that tells you if wiring, grounding and voltage are right. if that checks good, proceed to machine. If I can help further, look for me on 6ya
If you have had 35 years out of one machine it has lasted about 3 times as long as one would expect!
Get a new one and be thankful for so many years of service!
Problems with the electrical power supply, the appliance remains in the alarm state until achieve conditions of work, and stabilizes the voltage and frequency, and the machine resets quenching (controller to the position "0").
Obviously there is a problem in the electrical network so my suggestion is to call your local electrician or try connect power supply from any other room.

Family error code E70 is shown to the customer. In service mode could be: E71 or E74
E70 error code could be: faulty NTC sensor, wrong position of NTC sensor or to much limescale on it and finaly wiring between NTC and electronic.

Family error code E50 means a problem with the washing motor. Family error code E70 means a problem with the NTC sensor. In my experience, E50 is most common fault in worn carbon brushes. But in any case family error code E50 is shown to the customer. In service mode could be: E51,52,53 and 54. The same applies to family E70 error code that will be displayed in service mode as error code E71 or E74.
E50 error code could be: motor winding, power board, tachymetric generator, motor relay on power board, wiring between motor and power board and wiring between tachymetric generator and electronic.
E70 error code could be: faulty NTC sensor, wrong position of NTC sensor or to much limescale on it and finaly wiring between NTC and electronic.
