AEG Washing Machines - Page 4 - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
Hi, Can you please tell me where the drain pump
See page 23 of the (UK) user's instructions, which you can download from the AEG website. The pump is accessed from the front of the machine. There's a small cover panel at the bottom right corner. Just remove the cover, and unscrew the plug carefully so that water can drain gradually into a shallow tray. TURN THE POWER OFF FIRST.
The cycle is not completing and send an error
go to the manufactures website and download the user manual and look in the trouble shooting guide for a possible answer if you cant find one I would call back the engineer and ask him to give you an answer as the machine worked before he fitted the new rubber, good luck eric
I have an AEG Lavamat
You have a leak in the machine and water is accumulating in the base pan. Most likely this leak is a manufacturing issue or a transportation issue. Check to see where the leak is coming from under the machine. If in warranty call the dealer.
Mashine starts by (taking water out i.e the pump
The valves are simple to check. Remove the valve then hookup the water to the usual connector. Then hook 120 volts via an extra power cord to the valve. I recommend you crimp the proper connector to the end of the cord and plug that onto the valve. You can also use Alligator leads, but this comes at the risk of then coming off and shorting out. Whenever doing anything like this always cover the exposed ends with electrical tape. Then plug in the power cord. If the valve is working it should allow water to pass freely through the valve. The German washers also typically use an "air column" to shut the water off via a pressure switch. Check this pressure switch by hooking up a hose or just unhooking the one on it and measure the contact with an ohm meter. The contact should switch when you blow onto the tube simulating the water rising in the air column.
Parts can be found online or via your area dealer.
Lavamat 42260 - E94
This is a configuration error. There is a way to reconfigure it, if you have the technical information, but most likely you will need to replace the PC board.

This could be a number of issues. Have you checked the brushes? They should be at least 15mm. Check your circuit board and make sure that the dust from the brushes did not attach itself to the board and cause a short. Use compressed air to clean the motor. Clean the circuit board with air if dirty. Check for solder joints on the circuit board to see if any cold solder joints on the relays.
My wash-machine, AEG oko lavamat
to clear the error code: whilst holding the pre wash and short wash buttons in together turn the control knob from off to gentle spin, this will clear the fault code and run a LED test. (if all goes weel) F9 means carbon brushes need to be replaced
Manual voice live
my best advice is to call the engineer for a quote as there's obviously a problem in the making after further use eric
My washer is not spinning
Check the brushes on the motor. They should be at least 15mm long. Remove back panel, and remove motor (watch the wiring orientation). Then remove the brushes. If they need replacing get new ones and then blow out the entire motor from the carbon dust created by the brushes with compressed air.
ACCESS TO THE TUB WEIGHT IN AEG LAVAMAT L52600
More likely to be the shock absorbers, the main bearing or the spider (the casting the drum is fitted to that connects to the rear pulley)
To test the shock absorbers open the door and press firmly on the base of the drum then release
If the drum bounces up and down like a weight on an elastic chances are the shock need replacing
To check the spider firmly grasp the drum left and right and try to wobble it
then turn the drum 1/4 turn and do it again.
If there is a noticeable movement in one of those two position the spider is broken
To check the bearing remove the back cover and look for rust stains on the back of the drum. if there is then it will be your bearings
Shocks are a cheap repair, however if the spider or the bearing have failed it my be cheaper to replace the washer

Drain pump may be obstructed or defective. You may have to call your engineer back. Maybe he disrupted something.
G'day to you. We have an AEG OKO lavamat 88840
Check your pressure sensor. Make sure that the air column that operates the pressure sensor is not blocked. Find the pressure sensor and remove the air hose to it. Blowing into it with the hose attached to the pressure sensor will check the pressure sensor. Use an ohm meter to measure if it changes. Blowing on it with it connected to the air column will check that nothing is blocking it.
