If you're clever with electronics and can solder, consider an LED replacement. Do you have any data on the voltage, current, or lumen rating of the bulb?

I know nothing about the device, but it reads like you forced the door into a wedged position and it's stuck there. I would gently pry at it to get it past the "wedge", then study the mechanism to see whether the actual latch is broken, or just out of position. Please click the Comment link to respond.

The Intel QX3 is not compatible with 64 bit operating systems. It will not work. Sorry.

You can either reinstall Windows 7 as a 32-bit version or purchase a QX5 model which is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.

One has to have a compatible operating system with the correct driver, Your computer operating system must be set for reading the USB port as a video device, f you are able to read any data from the scope you should also check firmware version against the manufacturer's latest revision.
