For Flexer and Guest - The Imaging Drum Assy is the 5-th consumable for your printer. U can buy it as well as any toner cartridge. U can find it in the front of the 4 toner carousel with a green plastic cover. Push it to the back of the printer and pull it out straight up. The new one has orange stripes and plastics that you should remove. The Imaging Drum's life is about 20k pages (black with 5% coverage) and 5k page (colour 15% coverage)

SOURCE: HP color laserjet 1600 - black spots on paper

It sounds like the toner drum may be having some issues, it can be replaced but it is not easy / inexpensive. It may be more cost effective to replace the unit. Otherwise it will need a replacement part for sure.

SOURCE: My HP color laserjet 4500 is printing only blank pages

This is usually the Transfer kit, but if the image drum or one of the power supplies goes bad, that can also give blank pages. The Drum problem for no print is usually a grounding/connection problem. Power Supplies are a complicated repair, but these printers aren't too bad to work on. You can buy good used one's fairly cheap on ebay, though. Should consider going to a later model CLJ if you replace with a used, though.

Veritcal streak on left side of paper. Streak is light gray

Hello,

Vertical streaks are usually caused by a bad fuser. The fuser roller has a teflon caoting and when this coating gets scratched or worn it causes image defect to appear on the paper. The fuser for the 4250 is part number RM1-1082 and you can get them from Amazon.com or other online sites. Here is a link to an article that shows how the fusers can cause the vertical image defects like you have.

Ink streaks

Ink streaks are usually caused by a buildup of died in on the print heads. There are two print heads in that unit. Remove one at a time and look for build up - clean it if you find any. Once you finish cleaning both print heads you will need to do a print head cleaning routine in the HP software to clear out any in clogging the print nozzles.

Ink "banding" on hp laserjet 2600n

Viscosity of the ink is likely your problem. Sure the inks are not leaking at the same time, but that is likely because the different colors use different tints which can be slightly thicker or thinner. Many printer manufacturers (HP most notably) makes many patents on their ink, and not solely on the colors, but also the viscosity. The ink jets could slowly be leaking and might need to be replaced, finding these parts yourself might be easy, but replacing them is not.
I'm going to assume you've replaced the blue and suggest you remove the roller and clean it with glass cleaner. You may find it EXTREMELY difficult to remove the roller, so I would probably find a printer repair/ sales shop. Usually these places are not easy to find, so you'll probably want to find an office equipment sales business. These are the companies that usually sell the larger copier/fax/printers for large offices, or you could call HP and ask where a certified HP printer technician is in your area. I will tell you though, the cheaper ink may have just caught up to, having a copier technician repair this printer could cost quite a lot, but doing the job yourself, could be disastrous. The amount of small screws, easy to break plastic tabs, and interesting clips, etc make the job nearly impossible for a novice.
Good luck -Skyler

HP Color Laser Jet 3550 Smearing Colors

Do you use original genuine cartridges or refilled ones. It sounds like you have had a leak and need to completely clean out your printer heads, rollers and perhaps do a deep claean as well. You can buy faulty cartridges and toners that have one leak, then the ink continually leaves traces as it prints. When you say callibrated, do you mean you ran print tests and setting tests. Running a print test can often help to diagnose ink issues an d narrow the results down a bit. After a thorough clean, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling unit.
