SOURCE: PROBLEM WHEN SELECTING THE DIRECTION FOR THE AIR

Sounds like you have a supply vacuum problem. When you lose supply vacuum to the control head it defaults to defrost.

SOURCE: ac will not blow thru ac vents, only thru defrost vents.

if vent doors are operated by vacuum check for loose or broken vacuum hoses in the engine compartment , or check the fuse box for any ac/heat fuses if it is a electricaly controoled system

SOURCE: Dash vents will not blow air. Defroster and floor vents blow fine.

Is it a new vehicle? I had a new vehicle that had the same problem. Answer was that the holes weren't punched out of the vent.

Air will not blow through defrost or floor. the air will only blow through the a/c vents.

You need to check the space between your heater core and your a/c condensor. Dirt and dust plug these up alot. It could also be your heater control switch itself, not allowing the heater door to switch over. If you don't hear a vaccuum sound when you change from vent to heater or defrosr, your switch/control is bad.

Heater blows out of defroster and floor vents no where else no matter where switch is set

Three things come to mind.
Defective door actuator.
Broken door.
Faulty switch.

Have someone operate the controls while you look up at the motors(at least three) blend, recirculation, and vent control.
observe the motors inaction you might be able to see the axles on them move. if all of them move, the door is at fault. Requiring dash and vent assy removal for repairs.

The heater blower only blow out the dash vents will not blow on floor or defroster on 2004 ram 2500

More than likely you have a bad climate control module (the knob critter thing). Unfortuneantely, you can't just buy one and install it, it has to be programmed on that year and model truck. I hate to say it, but sounds like a trip to the dealer. OR, you can find one at a slavage yard and try for the best. If the programming is the same, you might get lucky. the Stick

Vent controls wont switch from defrost to any other selection replaced switch already I have a 2003 ford windstar, heat and cold air will only blow from the window defrost vents, any other selections...

You have a vacuum leak.Defrost is the default postion(no vacuum).
See if you can locate the small black vacuum line that goes inside the vehicle on the passenger side near the heater core. The trace it back, should see it going to a canister then to the intake manifold.Make sure it is not disconnected or broken somewhere.

A/C heater vents will only blow out the defrost ducts.

Some times you can "reset" the computer for that by disconnecting the battery for 15 or 20 seconds then re-connecting it. If that doesn't work then the mode door motor assy might have stripped gears or broken gears. (they are plastic) If you are familiar with where the mode door motor assy is you can turn the knob to change the mode (i.e. defrost, panel, floor) and see if the motor is turning. If motor is turning and mode does not change then the plastic pieces have broke or stripped. Usually when there is a problem with the climate control system it will default to the defrost simply as a safety thing. So you will have defrost so you can see where you are going. Hope this helps you all out, good luck.
