Dome light will not go out
Are you having any other weird electrical problems like, stereo door speaker not working or power window or door lock not working? If you are it may be a bare wire in the door wiring. That is a common problem on 2004 Rams. Normally it is a rear door if it is a quad cab. Short is normally in the boot going from the door to the cab. If not then the problem is probably the dome light switch found on each door. I believe it is in the door handle and each one would have to be tested.
What do you have to
just pull on the bezel from the
edges top
and bottom then you can get to the screw that holds the switch to the bezel
2004 dodge ram 1500 w/4.7L overheats after water
if you got a coolant flush machine flush the system make sure there is no clogs, if you dont have this equipment you can go to a hadware store and get a high heat Tee with a hose end on it and a cap for when your done, dont forget some hose clamps.
now look for the heater return line from the heatercore and cut into it and place yout hose tee there and clamp it in place, put your water spiket on and use a vise grip to pinch the hose to force the water one way or the other, then once you get water coming out of your overflow tank (im assuming this dadge doesnt have a radiator cap) then take and move the visegrip to the other side and repeat the prosess. once your all done you will be able to drain the water out from the spout on the bottum of the radiator, and you should be able to put straight antifreeze in the radiator run it for a bit and recheck for the correct mixture...
good luck, also check your hoses for spongy feeling those should be replaced

2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7l headlights keep turning off
Looks like the multi function switch goes to the cluster where lighting commands are issued across the CAN to the TIPM.
What codes are stored?
If there are CAN bus failures then there's what to go after first. Otherwise it's likely a failing TIPM, but all the TIPM and instrument cluster power and grounds need to be checked.
2004 dodge ram, 1500 2wd 4.7ltr. stopped truck,
Hi, ill try to help. Did you try to disconnect the battery for about 30 sec and reconnect??? 522 code is oil pressure sensor problem. Disconnect may work for reset, but there may also not be oil pressure? This is the only solution I have right now. Maybe another expert has more info if the disconnect does not work.
4.7l. It starts, but why no power or high rpm?
Is the CEL (Check Engine Light) illuminated? If so, you can get the codes by following this sequence of turning the ignition key to the 'on' (not the start) position and back off. On-off-on-off-on and leave it on. Any stored codes will be displayed in the digital odometer. Write them down and then we can decipher them since they will be common OBD-2 codes. If you miss the codes, do that sequence again and write them down.
