Hi! I have the same problem with miele B 858 with the tooth belt. Have you found a solution?

I have the same issue, still looking for the root cause. So far i've fixed the microswitch, the valve and the electronics main board, the issue remains, so it's not coming from that. I finally found what the issue was in my case. The problem was with the led indicator light on the iron (the one on the front, close to the buttons on the iron itself). This was shorted and was causing the electronics to latch the EV continuously when powered. I just removed the led and it's working fine. You just need to remove the white cable to the led on the screwed connector on the back of the iron, if you don't want to mess with disassembly the whole iron.

I have a Rowenta garment steamer. It will turn on but no steam comes out. Does it need to be cleaned from the build up of iron, etc. from the water? If so, how do I go about this?

It is damaged in side and could be dangerous , do not use till it repaired or replaced .

PERHAPS IT NEEDS REPLACED .

Sounds like a seal has blown. Time for a new iron, I would say.

Sunbeam Model: gcsbcs-212 The outlet cord was bad (pinched from falling off the ironing board) inside where the cord goes into the iron. 1. Remove Bottom Sticker 2.Remove 2 Screws 3. Pry off Sunbeam Back Cover 4. Remove 2 screws 5. Pry off Cover 6. Remove Cord Clip (2 Scews) 7. Cut Cord and Strip off ends ( do I cable at a time) Red Circle 8. Crimp back and Test.

I do believe the thermostat is defective.All the iron have a small thermastat top control the temperature and is working like a switch.If the switch don`t work get stuck on the same position.Unfortunatly sometimes is better get a new one themn fix an old one but this is The Market and nothing i can do personally.Also make sure the thermostat knob is working properly.If you hear a click when you turn is ok.

hi! Long time listner, first time caller. Iron not steaming AT ALL. I have a tefal gv 7096 It turned on, all lights working and i can hear it heating up and when opening the calcium deposit i can see steam. When i pressed the button - nothing. The iron it's self is hot (the plate) the lights on and but no steam. The cord connecting the iron to the steam was also cold, so i could tell no steam was getting to the iron at all. I wasn't sure if it was the button not working or something clogging the cord to the iron. I did the vinegar thing. Let it sit for sometime (40 mins) and still nothing. I did a weird thing of very carefully putting water on the plate while hot and it created steam from the plate. i think some backflowed and it started steaming, within seconds. might have happened with a bit more time anyway, but it def helped. All wokring fine now :)

Are you setting the body of the steamer on a table? If part of the hose sits lower than the steamer body steam will condense in the hose and collect in the low spot. Steam pressure will push the water out through the nozzle. If your steamer starts to sputter lift the hose so that it is completely above the level of the water reservoir and let the water drain down. Its a good idea to keep the steamer body on the floor so the hose can never get lower than it.

I would guess the heating element and go buy a new iron if I still needed one , but with the newer fabrics that are called permanent press why own an Iron

We’re u able to fix this ? I am facing similar issues after my wife forgot to shut it off and the auto shut off might have triggered but now it doesn’t Heat up even though I the light comes on

The iron has failed. Leakage from the soleplate is indicative.

Try again exactly according to the operating instructions: 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Clean and dry the metal contacts on the residual water drawer. 3. Switch the appliance on again and remedy the fault as follows: - Push the residual water drawer into the appliance and leave it there for at least 20 seconds. - Remove the residual water drawer again. Then empty and dry it. - After at least 20 seconds, push the drawer back into the appliance. The appliance is now ready for use and will continue the process started before the fault occurred. 4.
