Low Cold Water Flow into Machine

When the machine is filling on any cold-related cycle the cold water dribbles into the machine rather than filling in the normal strong flow. The hot water flows in as per normal. I have checked the hose and small filter on the water intake and they are clear. The problem appears to be within the machine. What could be causing this? And how can it be fixed?
Thanks.

I'll give it a go. I bet that's the problem.

Put the temp select switch on HOT, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. If there is water flow switch to COLD, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount should be approximately equal or slightly more than flow on HOT. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. Move selector to WARM, start machine. Now there should be twice the flow of water than there was with HOT and COLD temps. I suspect it is the HOT side of inlet water valve that has failed because machines usually rinse with COLD water.

Lg wf 801 won't fill

Yes , It can be related to the control board, but first of all please make sure that there is good water flows in both the inlets, check the flow after the valve , ensure that the inlet filters are not clogged and check all the connections from the harness to the valve and panel

Problem: the cold water just dribbles out when filling the tank and it takes forever to fill the tub.no problem with the hot water flow.

If you have water pressure to the cold inlet valve and the valve's filter is clear, you probably have a failed inlet valve...Replacing the cold valve should fix the problem..Not a big or expensive job..Good luck....Nomess

Cold water dribbles in rinse cycle, hot and warm water fine

If you check the warm water flow you'll likely find it is HOT...and not warm. Check the faucet end of hose to see if screen is clogged. Should be screened washer with the dome portion of the screen facing out at you. Remove it and clean with brush to remove grit or scale from screen. If you find nothing there you need to replace the water fill valve located at the other end of the hoses. Good Luck
