from what i understand your remote is from a dvd\vcr type player??

Please reset the codes and try again. You must replace the batteries by new ones type alkaline b) clean the contacts batteries c) retight the spring contacts batteries with pliers d) open the remote control for clena the keypad switch from dirty, dust, oxide, bad contacts or open , remember they send infrared signal from Syscon to the microncontroler Receiver. see the blck..d

Only Sony tv remote will work here to disappear onscreen display.
Have Sony tv remote and press INFO/ DISPLAY button once, on-screen display will disappear.
No other remote will work for that.

To set a Sony TV just press at the same time POWER TV and number 8 or 9

Try holding down the tv power button and keep holding it while you press the channel button until your tv comes in.. It takes a few pushes. Make sure your tv is off first though.
