SOURCE: how to operate a 24V dc 3 amp load from 24V dc 100

If you have a 24 V 100 amp source you can just plug in your 24 V 3 amp load and it will work. If the load was higher, near equal, or equal to the supply available that would be a problem but having a more amps available than are going to be needed is not a problem. The voltage available and drawn do need to be the same and in this case they are both 24V so you can work away.

SOURCE: How can I operate my

1) You need to look at the output current rating (AMP) of this AC to 24dc adapter, this 24vdc adapter is a regulated switching power supply that will maintain 24vdc output up the maximum current rating and also has shutdown circuits if the over current draw is detect and also if the output voltage goes up beyond 24vdc to protect the load (TV).

2) To use 12vdc to 24vdc DC-DC booster, it should have the following spec:

A) The output current rating should be at least 20% higher than the load requires to give its head room.
B) It must have regulated output that will maintain the 24vdc when the input (12vdc) will vary from 10vdc ~16vdc or higher since your batteries will not maintain exact 12vdc all the time.
C) It must have good protection circuits that will protect it self from reverse polarity connections, shorted output protection, over voltage output protection.
D) It should provide AC ripple spec on the 24vdc output, it should be in the milli-volt range (you will always get AC ripple riding on top of DC when you rectify the AC into DC).

These are the minimum requirement for your DC to DC booster, which you need to protect your TV and your motor home from burning down.
I hope I explain it OK to you.

I replace the mothrboard on elite slidding gate but the batery loses power

Since you have a battery and it is a sliding gate, I will assume you have a Roboslide model by Elite. The battery has to be charged in order for the gate to work. The charging comes from a transformer or a solar panel. Check to make sure these have power coming out of them. Most gate operators use a transformer and if the two wires providing the voltage touch each other, it will blow the transformer. If you have a volt ohm meter you can check this. You might need to use the AC setting as well as the DC since some are 18 volt DC and others are 25 volt DC. You can do the same for a solar panel but only use the DC setting.

If this is not your issue, then make sure it is your battery draining and not something binding in either the motor or the gate. Finally, it could be the motor going out. Simply hook the charged up battery directly to the motor to check it. It should respond strongly. Reverse the leads to make the motor go the other way.

Good luck.

My HP 10s Scientific calculator does not switch on what could be the problem, is it maby because the calculator was left in a drawer and now the batery ran flat hou can I charge it on the solar power...

You can't charge the calculator off the solar power panel. The solar power panel merely conserves battery power when using the calculator in a bright environment. Try putting in a new battery and see whether the calculator turns on.

Hi guys I was wondering on the dewalt battery wich side is positiv e which side is negative thanks james

is your battery is new and you want to install?if that so,you can distinguish between positive & negative by means of:
1. get rid to the color of wire or marker. The
standard color of positive is red.
2. If no color,positive have a cross(+) mark & negative
is minus (-).
3. If you have a multi-tester,adjust the control to 50v on the "DC" section of the tester and connect the tester's rod to the batery terminal. The rod color red & black whics means positive & negative..if for instance you connect the red rod to the batery terminal 1,and the black rod to the batery terminal 2,and the neddle or indicator of the multi tester moves through clockwise direction:
it means that the batery terminal where you CONNECTED THE RED ROD IS THE POSITIVE...but when you do the same process or same way to test but the needle of the tester goes into counter clockwise direction" it means that the batery terminal where you connected the red rod is the NEGATIVE.

But how about if you dont have a multi-tester?You can do this way..:
get an electrical motor of a turn table or a blower of a computer.the terminal of the said motors are red & black. Now,you conect fix the red terminal of the motor to the one terminal of batery and you conect the black terminal of the motor to the other terminal of batery( BUT CONNECT IT IN JUST ONE (1) SECOND AND NOT TOO LONG BECOZ YOUR MOTOR WILL BE BURNED DUE TO OVER VOLTAGE). Now,if you do this test and you noticed that THE TURN OF THR MOTOR IS IN CLOCKWISE DIRECTION" it means that you had connected the right terminals,.so gid rid to the colors becoz the batery trminal where you connected the red terminal of the motor is the POSITIVE.

Power Supply How To

Because inverters operate from a DC (Direct Current) power source, usually a battery bank (one or more batteries), the battery source will have to be recharged at some point. (Remember that a battery discharged more than 50% is probably close to being dead.) Most cars and trucks recharge their batteries from an onboard alternator. Depending on the inverter load and runtime required, most power use applications will be covered by the charged battery, augmented by the operating alternator supplying a continuous charge to the battery. If the load is large (air conditioner, large draw power tools, large microwave, food freezer, ice cream machine, etc.), the user should verify that the installed vehicle alternator is of large enough capacity to operate the vehicle's power requirement as well as to fulfill the capacity of the inverter load. If it’s not, a motor throttle installation may be required to carry a small load, a larger alternator may be required, or a larger alternator, battery isolator and additional onboard battery bank may be required in order to meet the power requirement of the large load. Remember: it takes 12 DC Amps (at 12 VDC) to run 1 AC Amp (at 120 VAC single-phase) of power because there are voltage and efficiency factors to take into consideration.
