Got LE error code. Put washer in diagnostic mode and when in spin tests it spun. Got no error codes. Put washer into Rinse & Spin mode with no cloths loaded. Again go the LE error code. Problem started today while the wife was washing.
Replace the motor position sensor also known as a 'hall' sensor. About $20. Pretty easy fix. Check out videos on , repairclinic.com , , appliancepartspros.com , or YouTube.com.
Pretty common erroron older units.
Hi LakerFan, an LE code is generally a motor overload situation. A large comforter or a lot of bath towels will make the motor work too hard and start to overheat. Unplug the machine, hold the start button for 5 seconds and that should reset the error code. Hope that helps.
Testimonial: "Had already tried that since I had seen that mentioned elsewhere without success. As as I mentioned in my post the washer does spin when I put the washer in self test mode. But if I run it in rinse & spin without any cloths. It will fill with water and may go back and forth a few times but eventually just stops. I can here what sounds like it attempting to spin again. After a minute or two, it will display LE again."
Hey LakerFan, sorry that didn’t work out the problem. Usually the simplest things cause the biggest problems. Next step would be to check continuity of the wiring from the main control board to the rotor positioning sensor using an electrical meter. Start with a visual inspection for any pinched or obviously broken wiring then check wires end to end with the meter to make sure there aren’t any breaks inside the insulation that can’t be seen. Next would be checking the position sensor for continuity. If neither of those has a break in continuity then you have a bad control board. If the problem is the board then unfortunately it’s time to shop for a new machine because that part is no longer made and there is no replacement. If you’re not comfortable doing those checks then I recommend calling a local repair company. Hopefully those suggestions help.

THANK YOU. for those of you with a screw driver, here are the photos on how to.
It takes a philips screw driver and 20 minutes. The white screws may
not align perfectly but don't worry, just get them to go back in the
hole(no harm done).
I'm going to admit it was my wife that found this fix, so now I give the step by step photos.

clogged filter will cause this error code. I have the same washer and the filter located inside the rubber boot attached to the pump was full of junk. there was enough room for water to get thru but not enough for full volume. clean it out and it should work. note : its a pain to get the boot back on so be ready and take it slow. this worked for me.

f 06 is a in issue with the motor control board, check the wiring harness attached to the board.
Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.
