SOURCE: Need to convert 3 phase Hobart dishwasher to single phase

It will not be inexpensive to convert your dishmachine over to three phase. With everything that you will need to replace, depending on the model if converyor or not it may run close to what it costs to have 3phase run to the building that you plan to move into.

SOURCE: wiring a 220v single phase motor and capacitor

Black and white are usually power. an ohmmeter will confirm. Brown are for capacitors. There is almost always a diagram on the motor someplace. Eric

SOURCE: hobart model 5801 meat saw conversion from 3 phase

No, you need a new motor or a converter, but in the case of one saw, it wouldn't be worth the conversion. Just find an old single phase motor that will fit height wise and you should be all set. The speed is the same, the direction can be switched and the HP should not matter much, 1/2 , 1, depends on what you find out there. They all should cut wood no problem. Hope this helps.

Good day, I just want to know what capacitor do I need to run 3 horse power motor 220v 3 phase from 220v single phase power supply..Thank you.

you can not use capacitor.
Running a three phase motor on single phase power is simple. First you'll need to invest in a variable frequency drive.

What type of circuit breaker do I need to use in my consumer unit for a Miele PW5065 washing machine

Feed the single phase power panel from the 3 phase panel and leave the single phase panel alone. You cannot run single phase motors on 3 phase power. Not for long at least . The motor will smoke in a short time.

I have a Ingersoll Rand Compressor model# 2545E10V 10 HP,3 phase and I would like to convert it to a signle phase. would this motor here be good to go with and what other items will be needed to complete...

It might. Mounting holes match? Shaft diameter and adapter match? Power supply sufficient for 5HP motor? It's a big motor! You might get a better answer from the ebay supplier.

SINGLE PHASE WIRING DIGRAM

You need a single phase motor to do that. A 3 phase motor cannot be made to run on one phase.

Have a 3 phase compressor model vr5-8 want to know if it can be converted to single phase 230 volt and how

A 3phase motor cannot be rewired to run on single phase power. You need a phase converter. A 3-phase motor will only run on 3-phase power, and a phase converter will convert single phase power to 3 phase. Just google phase converter. There are two basic types, electronic and rotary. The rotary type are more powerful and efficient, but lot's more expensive than the electronic ones. Your only other option is to replace the motor with a single phase motor. Good luck.

I have a 3 phase electrical motor for my air compressor, How would i connect this from the air compressor pressure switch and towards the electrical source 120V? (for low volt)

If the electrical 120 volt source is single phase, the only way to run this motor is with a single phase to three phase converter. Best to sell the three phase motor and obtain a similar horsepower 120 volt single-phase capacitor-start motor (1750 RPM) for the compressor. You would also require a 3-phase pressure switch for use with the 3-phase motor. Hope this helps!

Is posible run a single phase electric motor from a source three phase 120/208 wye connection the motor is rated 230 volts AC

It is indeed possible to use ONE Phase to run a motor, You simply use One Phase and Neutral. BUT ONLY if the 3 phase is Double, more or less, the required usage Voltage, EG: 440 3 phase, will be OK, for 220 single phase, . But 220 3 Phase, will not run a 240. single Phase. So in your case is suspect not, it really will do no harm to try though. it just wouldn't work, if not enough "juice", be careful.

I have a 220 440 electric motor on my 4 post 3 ton car lift which ran on 3 phase, how can i run this motor from a single phase supply, regards dave

You need to either change the motor to a single phase or check into a single to three phase converter...I would do which ever is cheaper myself. You could go single phase, but the cost of operation would be higher depending on the duty cycle.
