That's just a low-end store brand fan for Home Depot. Take it back and go to a real fan store.

Hard to really tell in the video, but it looks like the fan has a light as well as the fan? Often, the blue wire goes through the housing to power an optional light attachment. Normally, you would have 2 "hot" wires in the ceiling that go to separate switches so you can do them independently. If you don't have the light attachment, you should be fine taping it off and leaving it in the housing.
If you have the light attachment, you would be best to gang the blue and black together to the white (odd if in the US) "hot" in the ceiling. The white in the fan goes to white to the ceiling and green from the ceiling should go on a green screw on the fan (or anywhere you can ground)
The fan will always be on and you can use the pull strings to control the fan and or light (if exists).
Be very careful hooking up the hot with the fan blades attached. It's best to take them off, otherwise if the pullcord is on, the thing starts spinning like mad while you are up there on a ladder

From your friendly neighborhood electrician - any electric supply (a business supplying parts to
the electrical & HVAC trade) will either carry Hunter parts, or at the very least be able to
order the parts - why: Hunter is manufactered in the USA. Nearly every other brand of ceiling
fan you'll find at your neighborhood Home Depot or Lowes is manufactured in China.
The typical ceiling fan will come with parts for two configurations: (1) flush, and (2) a optional
3-inch downrod, but commercial installations will somtimes use extended downrods.

The Hunter web site (http://www.hunterfan.com) catalog shows available downrods in several
lengths: 12", 18", 24", 36", 48", 60", and 72".

Most light domes twist on or off or have thumb screws to loosen and lower the dome.It sounds like you removed the light kit assembly instead of the dome.Try to put back by twisting in place the light kit assembly and look for screws,or hold back on trim and turn just glass dome do not use too much force .I checked web site but can't find your model.It is unusual to not be able to just remove glass dome.Look closely at how the glass dome is positioned. If no screws are visible either the glass part unscrews or the ring unscrews allowing glass dome to be removed.Good Luck.I have installed many ceiling fans the problem is if you didn't install it your at a disadvantage.GOOD LUCK.

you need a new remote and receiver. mine did the same thing after a few months an then it completely burntout in 2 yrs

I have an Aloha Breeze L-Style 52" Ceiling Fan(Polished Brass), Model # 29079 Bought From Wal-Mart about 1 1/2 years ago and the fan speed switch busted and the capacitor melted. After downloading and reviewing my fan's Owner's Guide, and reviewing the online FAQs, I called 1-800-330-3267, concisely described the problem, and ordered the parts needed with only the fan name and SKU.

I and am about to order more parts after suffering a power surge (The needed info was in the FAQs). My experience is great customer service and speedy delivery of the needed parts.

You may call customer service at 1-800-330-3267 on Monday through Friday EST. When you call please have your UPC code available. If you do not have your owners manual, you may look on the top of the fan where you will see a silver or gold sticker. There you will find a UL number beginning with the letter E and located under the UL number is the UPC code. The UPC code consists of 12 numerical digits. From that information, the customer service representative will be able to determine if you are calling the correct company and determine the make and model of your product. If it is determined you are calling the wrong company, you will be given the correct number to call.
