Konica minolta 4690mf color streaks

I just replaced the transfer roller on the machine, but there is still a yellow streak and pink streak along each side of the papers that go away after printing several copies. If, however, I restart printing they appear again.

SOURCE: Streaks on printed page

You need to clean the printer. See your manual for instructions. It is probably dust on the laser lens

SOURCE: media jam transfer roller

Hello pp-helps,

This is very interesting. I do have the very SAME problem with my Xerox 6120 printer. I've been looking for the fuser roller all over without any sucess. The new fuser unit costs approximately the same as a new printer. I'm frustated at this time. I want to ask you the following: Are the mechanical components from the 2430 exactly the same as the 6120 as far as the fuser unit goes? if I find a roller replacement for the 2430 will it fit my 6120? do you have a p/n by any chance or know where can I get it?
I really really appreciate your help.

Regards,
Frank

Yellow not printing - but only in streaks

Your yellow problem sounds like a bad yellow developer housing. Take the drum out and look at the developer housing, You will need a flash light to do so. See if the roller is solid yellow. Even if it is there may not be any developer left in the housing.
The Cyan sounds like the drum since it gets worse as it prints.
That can also be caused by the transfer belt cleaner. But that normally is the opposite. It has a rainbow sort of streak and it gets better as the machine runs.

Color prints have two strips of toner that will rub off.

Fixed the problem with the advice of one of your members!

Poor color quality

find out where are the streaks come from, from PC drum, or transfer belt, fusin unit or from toner cartridges. does the trasferbelt and PC drum look okey. finally if nothing is helping, try firmware upgrade and replace printer drivers, sometimes help.
