The TI-84 is a bit of a pain this way. You need to access the logBASE function either through the catalog or the MATH menu. You can't spell the function name as with some other calculators.

Press MATH, scroll down to the logBASE entry, then press ENTER. This will put "logBASE(" into the entry line. You can then enter the arguments and press ENTER to calculate the result. For example, to calculate the log base 2 of 8, press MATH, down-arrow a number of times to logBASE, press ENTER 8 , 2 ENTER. This should give you 3.

SOURCE: How do i calculate the log to a specific Base?

If you have the latest version of the firmware (2.53) you can use the logBASE function available in the CATALOG. If you don't have the latest firmware, you can get it from http://education.ti.com

Regardless of the firmware version, you can always compute the logarithm to any base by using the relationship

logb(x) = log(x)/log(b) = ln(x)/ln(b)

Yes, yes, and yes.
You may view/download a copy of the manual at Owners Manual User Guide for Sharp el 531x scientific calculator
You'll find examples of exponential and logarithmic calculations in the second column of the second page and the memory instructions in the fourth column of the first page.

Where is the binary mode

Since you decline to specify the make and model of your calculator, I can only give you some examples.

On a Casio fx-115ES, press MODE 4 [BIN] . BIN is on the log key.

On a HP 16C, press the BIN key.

On a HP 50g, press ALPHA ALPHA [B] [I] [N] ENTER or right-shift [BASE] D .

How do you solve log problems on your calculator

I have no idea what type of log problems you want to solve. It does help to know what you have in mind. To type in the log function log(, you have two ways:
1. Use the keyboard to type it in on the command line APLHA L, ALPHA o, ALPHA g followed by opening parenthesis. Or if you can LOCK the alpha keyboard, lock it and press the keys corresponding to the letters l, o, and g.
2. Press [Diamond key] [7]
The last trick works on the TI92 and TI Voyage 200 PLT which have a full fledged keyboard. Try it anyway, if that does not work you can still use the ALPHA keyboard.

If i push alpha key for passward it's does not work at all...

if you don't see it on the screen thats because it's changing the number into a letter (1+alpha,alpha=Z).
If the key is not working it needs a new key pad.

How do I find logarithms on the ti89?

For natural logarithms, you can use the ln function (2ND shift of the X key). For example, the natural logarithm of 3 is 2ND [LN] 3 ) ENTER.

For logarithms to other bases, use the log function (diamond shift of the 7 key). For example, the base-2 logarithm of 16 is diamond 7 1 6 , 2 ) ENTER. If the base is 10 (common logarithms), you can omit the comma and the second argument.
