Most HDD recorder problems are software related. The operating software of computers is often self-corrupting in use and yes a HDD recorder is just another computer.

There could be updated software versions available or perhaps the facility has been disabled to prevent other problems - minor software modifications and patches can be installed through the aerial without you noticing.

For such a specific question it is best to contact the manufacturer's customer service.

Take the cover off the back of the unit where you are supposed to install the batteries. The instructions should be inside the cover. Hope that helps.

Kodak has at least two cameras with the 340 number. You can find the manuals for those two on the manufacturer's web site

Same Problem here, have not done anything yet, but I am convinced that it is due to blown Capacitors in the Power Supply......

Greeting, I have same problem too, and now recorder is in warranty service. HDD sucks. This recorder is piece of ****. HHD is noisy and poor quality.
