01 ford laser has starting issues, turn key all i get is reds, wait a couple of seconds try again and it starts fine, This can go on for a while sometimes. Dont think its starter motor dont get noise

If the commutator (part that contacts the brushes) has a short, it will only energize half of the starter motor then stop. (single "click") just enough to spin the motor past the short, or when it gets worse, repeatedly turning the key, will get you repeated single clicks until past the short, then starts fine

Check with your local parts store, they may check your starter for free, you are looking for excessive amp draw

Tdi clicks on cold start

Sounds like a flat or faulty battery. Try getting a jump-start from another vehicle. The clicking is probably from the starter relay.
The relay operates with a click switching the power through to the starter motor. If the battery is low, the starter motor draws so much current that it effectively short circuits the starter relay which releases.
Now the starter motor is disconnected, there is enough current to re-operate the relay, another click, and the starter motor is reconnected and short circuits the relay again etc. This clicking continues until the battery runs completely flat or you stop turning your key.

It sounds like you have electric start like a lawn mower. There are 2 possible reasons for the cable to be getting hot-1 there is a dead short in your starter motor- check this with a volt ohm meter. set to ohm disconnect the fat positive wire on the starter and touch the terminal and then ground-should read 1-no continiuty-no short or if shorted will read 0.00. #2 motor is stuck and starter motor can't move it. If you can turn the motor over by hand to see if its stuck. I suspect your starter motor is bad. Hope this helps-Denny

After short trip, battery dead, wont turn over, just clicks, any suggestions

Are you sure the battery is actually DEAD? Have you tried putting on your headlights and checking whether they dim/go out when you try to start the engine? If YES, then it's likely it is a dead battery. However, other problems which also gives a click when trying to start, depending on which type of starter you have are: a) poor connection between battery and starter, and b) inoperative starter solenoid (electronic heavy-duty electro-magnetically operated switch). You could try to test this latter by shorting across the two heavy-duty contacts. This should operate the starter motor directly. Or, if you have a pre-engaged starter motor, then you'd need a new motor as the solenoid is within the motor's casing. Good luck!

WHEN I TURN ON THE BLOWER MOTOR IT INSTANTLY BLOWS BOTH THE BLOWER MOTOR FUSES ANY SUGUSTIONS ON WHERE I CAN START TO LOOK FOR A PROBLEM I ALSO UNPLUGED THE MOTOR WIRE AND TURNED IT ON AND IT STILL BLEW...

The purpose of a fuse is to protect the wiring in a circuit. If it blows it is because of an overload which would occur if the blower motor is siezed or there is a short in the wiring. My first instinct is a problem with the blower motor. Try isolate the blower - disconnect the leads to the motor - and try switch it on. If the fuse blows again the problem would then be a shorted wire.

1. charge in battery may b low so try t after changing the battery
2.der may b some short circuiting occuring wen u press the start button
3.the is too much load on the starter motor which wen starting current in more picks up and gradully reduces its speed.
4.motor insulatioin may be gone so short circuiting may occur inside motor.

No crank

shorting to start motor will allow the motor to turn but the ignition system is still off.
try with key turned to ignition position.
suspect starter solenoid on starter motor.
suspect fuses maybe there is a fuse which has blown.
suspect ignition key switch maybe defective.

When trying to start all key blocked and it flashes (F-01)

Error code F01 indicates a short circuit motor triac, this is part of the electronics that control the motor.
What you need to check first of all is the motor.
Remove back panel, undo 2 screws that secure motor, unplug motor lead, and lever motor backwards out of the brackets, don't let go of motor.
Check to see if motor has brushes fitted, if it has , check for shorted brushes and wear,if less than 2-3 mm, then replace.
If after replacing brushes and it still shows F01, then chances are it has blown the pcb, could be expensive, especially if you need to replace the motor.
If no brushes, then pcb is probably faulty.
Plz rate my solution
Thanks.
