If the ABS light is on , there is a problem with the electronics of the ABS system . There is a DTC diagnostic trouble code stored in the EBCM - electronic brake control module . Your best bet is to take your vehicle to a Qualified repair shop an have it checked .

Brake light is on

Low brake fluid or park pedal slightly applied would be the most common problem. If brake fluid is low, have the brakes checked. It is not a good idea to add brake fluid unless there is a leak as the extra fluid will only spill out when the brakes are replaced.

Check the level of your brake fluid or your brake pads may be worn down and time to have them checked out.

ABS/ Traction control light/BAS & brake light on in 2008 dodge grand caravan

It is safe to drive. You need a scan tool to get a code out of it. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor going bad. All of these lights will work together normally. The traction control uses the ABS to gain traction, and the Brake Assist System is part of the stability control. Also uses the ABS.

ABS Light illuminated on Van

ABS diagnostics requires a scan tool (Chrysler DRB II, DRB III or aftermarket equivalent). the plug is located near the brake pedal. this is the only alternative to get the ABS light off.
