Generator running but doesnt generate power

Some generators when not used for long time lose there static charge. There is a post on youtube on how to do this but it is dangerous. start generator. Using a cut power cord plug cord in gen then using 12 volt battery touch one wire to pos post and one wire to neg post for fraction of a second. If that works be aware you are holding live wires

Motor overloaded and shuts off to prevent a fire. Could be jammed up or just the wrong type of rubbish went in there.

It' should not be a current issue as the LED bulbs use significantly less power and should be power factor corrected.

Two things I've found with LED bulbs are;

1. Cheap bulbs (Walmart, etal) flicker from any minor power disturbance, e.g. turning on a bathroom exhaust fan on the same circuit.

2. The edison base of some LED bulbs are shorter than the standard length and/or have a modified base contact. With power off to the circuit, use a small hook and extend (bend out) the center contact of the socket.

Baiscs - you need spark & fuel. FIrst you need to troubleshoot the ignition and if it sat for long with fuel, may need the carb cleaned too.

The OHV engine requires periodic valve adjustments.

Try adding choke and see if the problem goes away. If adding choke improves run, then it is most likely a fuel/carb issue or more simply a fuel delivery issue. Disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor inlet and verify fuel streams from the line. If it dribbles or drips, then there is a blockage upstream.

Yes it has to work as the water will not drain it will back up into the sink . Only way is fix the leak .or remove it change the sink waste and reconnect the pipe's . If you take a picture of what you have any of the DIY stores will be able to help with any fittings you would need .

Lots of help in the link. Likely to be a diode that is allowing battery power to flow back into the inverter. Easy fix is to install a battery switch to the positive lead.

LED are the ones that give the most issues because they are low voltage and contain their own voltage regulating circuit and will only work on a stable voltage..
