DID THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN BEFORE YOU REPLACED THE SWITCH? IF IT DID, THAN SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A BAD STARTER SHORTING INTERNALLY
LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT AND GOOD LUCK.

You need to make sure that the grounds for the body and motor are good. Sometimes just turning the bolt will clean them up but better to remove, clean and replace. Also make sure battery terminals and wires are clean and secure. Hope this helps and have a great day.

If you run a push button directly from the battery to the solenoid, the engine will crank when you push the button.
If the no start condition is because of the solenoid, this will not fix the issue.
If the no start condition is related to circuitry of the ignition system and/or fuel system, this may fix the issue, but may not, as well.
