Format it in the camera, not in the computer.

This could mean that the card you are attempting to use has too great a capacity for the camera to handle. Have you consulted the manual on this point ?

You should be able to get what you want at your local electronics store (such as Maplins or Radio Shack), or a local computer vendor. On-line, there is always Ebay or Amazon.

What is the Card type you have entered in the Camera

Not all the memory cards are compatible with every Camera.

Also, Remove the card and there should be a lock on the left/right side of the card, unlock it and try to format and it should work fine.
