My samsung rs2630sh is very very hot to the touch

My samsung rs2630sh side by side is very very hot to the touch around the freezer door and on the front side near the door. The other side is cool. I don`t remember it ever being that hot. It also makes a loud noise on the back towards the bottom, could this be related to the hot door problem?

The fan you should replace is called the condenser fan. It's the one that blows air across the outside coils. When it fails, you'll usually notice abnormal heating of the front of the divider between freezer and fridge.

I had the same problem with the same refrigerator (purchased in 2004) a month ago. I invested less than $60 including shipping cost and replacing 4 parts. The parts I ordered are from this website: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partse...
    They are: AP4170193 (DA97-01949A) Motor, Condenser $ 24.46
    AP4141104 (DA35-10013Q) RELAY $5.97
    AP4033723 (2501-001045) C-OIL $9.75
    AP4138858 (DA34-10003S) PROTECTOR $6.67
I don't know which one acturally worked but figured to replace them anyway in case they go bad in the future. One thing gave me a little trouble to put them back on is taking the old fan blade out of the old motor since it had glued on. So I should have bought the fan blade in the begining.
The refrigerator has been working normally since. Hope it could last another 7 years. Hope this helps.

Replace the compressor fan. I had the exact same problem and this was the solution. Cost $7 plus shipping and took 5 minutes. The fan is failing (causing the noise) and the compressor is overheating (causing the heat around the freezer door).

Hot spots on door and side of frig

www.viewpoints.com/Samsung-RS2630SH-review-fe12- HELLO, what is taking place is resistance is building in these areas because you have strip heaters in the doors on the freezer and refrigerator door. This keeps any moisture from turning to ice. There is not a lot that you can do or that I can lead you to do with this going on. Some heat is normal as they are heaters. But, if these spots are hot to the touch, being that this is a expensive and new box, I would call the manufacture and ask questions to satisfy you. I would not worry about this unless it is to a point to where you can't touch it, smell any electrical or burn smell, but not to worry as they have many safety controls to keep anything from burning up as I didn't want to scare you. Some units use hot freon liquid or gas that runs through coils in the freezer to keep ice from building up. I have done some research on this model, and it is a very common complaint from new owners. The factory is saying as I said not to worry, a normal condition with this unit. If you start to loose any cooling in either compartment, to call them. I added a link for you on this unit as there seems to be a lot of complaints on this model. I pasted it at the top, so I hope you read my info before going there. Please keep me posted on the outcome and I wish you the best
Sincerely,

Side of refrigerator getting really hot from top to bottom on freezer side about 1 inch from the door back. Also where the two doors meet in the middle, really hot. What can I do?

The unit has a auto defrost feature. Every six to eight hours these heaters come on to melt ice build up.The cabinet will feel warm to the touch during this cycle. If it is always hot, I suspect a stuck defrost thermostat

Outside door seams are hot to touch

This is because the mullion heaters are on. This is a system designed to dry up sweating that occurs on the outside of the box in high humidity. Check to see that all the door seals are tight.

Both Freezer door and a metl strip were hot

There is a sweat control heater around the front edge of the fridge and freezer. It has a switch that will turn it off, usually by the other controls. It just wastes electricity.

Samsung model # rs2630sh side by side fridge. center strip is hot

I had the same problem, and it was the condenser fan motor. I ordered mine from www.partstore.com. It was half the price of sears.
I would suggest ordering the 2 "plastic bushings" for front and back of motor. I was able to reuse mine, but for a few dollars more it's worth it.

it is normal to the fridge to be hot of the side edge panel it is to prevent moisture around gasket. cluster pipe of condeser routed around instead to install elec. heater. its to hot from the start of applying power but once it reach lower temp it will be warmed and normal.
