ERR: MEM when trying to do Z-test/T-test

If you get Memory Error its meaninig that memory is insufficient to perform the instruction or function. You must delete items from memory
before executing the instruction or function.
Recursive problems return this error; for example,
graphing the equation Y1=Y1.
Branching out of an If/Then, For(, While, or Repeat
loop with a Goto also can return this error because
the End statement that terminates the loop is never
reached.

Everytime I try to do powers and square roots I get an error message

An ERR: MEMORY is given when there is not enough memory to perform the instruction or function. To increase available memory by deleting the contents of any variable (real or complex number, list, matrix, Y= variable, program, Apps, AppVars, picture, graph database, or string), follow these steps. • Press [2nd] [MEM] to display the MEMORY menu.
• Press 2: Mem Mgmt/Del.
• Select a variable or data that needs to be deleted and press [ENTER].
• Use the arrow keys to move the cursor next to the item, and then press [DEL]. The variable or data should now be deleted from the memory.
When deleting programs or Apps, a message asking for confirmation will appear. Select 2:Yes to continue. To leave any variable screen without deleting anything, press [2nd] [MODE].

How do I get rid of the ERR:DIM MISMATCH message?

You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

I'm getting a error message that says, "ERR 99".

Welcome to Fixya
Err 99 could mean several different things, such as... Memory Card, Lens or Lens contacts....

Here's what you can try:
Remove the memory card an enable "shooting with out memory card" and see if you still get the error. If it works your memory card is bad. Try another lens if you can. Clean the lens contacts with a pencil eraser (be careful not to get eraser dust in the camera body or in the lens). Worst case scenario is, Err 99 could be related to the shutter failing which would mean a trip to Canon.

Thanks

When i press most buttons it gives me the message ERR:MEMORY i cant access memory so i cant reset ram or delete . also i can not connect to my cpu it says TI-84 plus Silver Edition detected, but couldn't...

From the TI knowledge base and FAQ

How do I correct ERR: MEMORY on a TI-83 family or TI-84 Plus family graphing calculator?

An ERR: MEMORY is given when there is not enough memory to perform the instruction or function. To increase available memory by deleting the contents of any variable (real or complex number, list, matrix, Y= variable, program, Apps, AppVars, picture, graph database, or string), follow these steps. • Press [2nd] [MEM] to display the MEMORY menu.

When deleting programs or Apps, a message asking for confirmation will appear. Select 2:Yes to continue. To leave any variable screen without deleting anything, press [2nd] [MODE].
Notes:
With the exemption of programs and Apps, no warning will be given to verify the deletion. Some system variables, such as the last-answer variable Ans and the statistical variable RegEQ, cannot be deleted.

Hope it helps.

My fuji finpix s1 will not pull up the menu, nor can I take any pictures however the automatic focus works, the function lcd lights up but it will not work either.

rdp19 did not mention the ERR msg.
I had the same problem, however after messing with it the ERR message is up.
If RDP19 gets this, did you get it fixed.  Where and what cost?

Hi - I have a Rebel XT - and my built-in flash won't work - and i get an ERR 05 message. What can I do?

Dear joefrisco:

An ERR 05 message indicates that the camera's flash pop up mechanism has encountered a problem due to either an obstruction (such as your hand or something blocking it), a jam (impact damage), or an electrical failure.

Try the following steps, in order, to try and resolve the issue. If nothing works, the camera will have to be sent in for service (call Canon Tech Support @ 1-800-828-4040):

1. Turn the camera off. Ensure that nothing is blocking the pop
up flash. Turn your mode dial to one of the Creative Zone
modes (P, AV, TV. or M). Now turn your camera back on
and attempt to take a flash shot. You will need to manually
press the flash button to do so.

2. Turn your camera on and perform a hard reset by pressing the
MENU button, tabbing over to the Set Up 2 menu tab and
selecting the option "Clear Camera Settings / Clear All
Camera Settings" options, and then removing the camera
batteries, date/time battery, and memory card for a period
of approximately 2 minutes. Then reinstall all items, turn
your camera on, reset the date and time and perform step
number 1 above.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
HeavyDLB

Email errors

I would erase the TX memory and reload the software.

The TX memory can be erased by pressing the reset button in the back of the unit while holding down on the power button. Press yes to confirm delete.

Reload Palm software from CD.
