You would be better off to buy a new flat screen TV . The pricenter of the screenew wouldn't be worth it , that is if you could find one.

SOURCE: Dark Blotch on rear projection TV screen

usually these are caused by cleaning the screen with a damp cloth or fkuid rear projection tv's usually have two plastic screens separated by about quarter inch with bulbs between, one being a magnified screen.problem is,condensation can occur causing various blotches, letting the screens naturly dry out usually solves this but failing this you have to strip down and wipe them with clean dry cloth.be careful though the inside screen is very delicate.

SOURCE: navigating service menu

If the remote has up/down/left/right arrow buttons, then you can use the arrow keys to readjust the screen. Use the format button to switch betwen auto, widescreen (16:9), letterbox (4:3), and other options. not all formats are available on all channels.

I am assuming your TV is a Philips or Magnavox?

Need new lcd screen for 32" sylvania

I am not aware of replacing just the front screen, that is the LCD display and is most likely more than the set cost. Please be very careful when purchasing something like this on e-bay. I can't see how they will have a display for such a new set. Can you give me a model number and I will do the homework for you?

Optical unit

I have the 52G786. These JVC HIDLA (LCoS) rear projection TV's are very trouble prone. Mine was in the shop 3 times in the first year. Now at three years old, the screen is getting dim then bright and flickering back and forth, but it's not the bulb.

You can now get a 50" 720p plasma for just under $1000, so that's the direction I am going. Fixing it is just asking to throw money out the door because it is likely to break again.
