Its not worth replacing control board just buy another machine

Testimonial: "Thanks Jorge, actually Miele came to my rescue. I complained that I had only had my front loader for 9 years and I expected 25 years at least (I always buy Miele because I know it is a great product and does have a LONG life). Because of my loyalty I guess, Miele provided the part (power control unit) to the agent and all I paid for was the part. When you're on a good thing - stick to it. I'll always buy Miele."

these newer machines dont usally last more than 10 years more like 7 years and they give out so not worth putting that much money into it. but you may have been scammed and maybe the issue is not as serious as they claim. what exactly was the problem in the first place

How do I fix a F53 fault on a Miele W3740 Washing Machine

First, unplug the washer for minutes then plug in and see if it solve the problem, if not then check the carbon brushes on the motor. These are a part which is expected to wear and when they do the motor cannot rotate the drum, which means the speed sensor thinks something is wrong and throws the error.good luck. Does W1712 have an internal fuse? My machine has lost power despite the outlet being functional...

Hi dear,
Your machine does not have a replaceable fuse. If you are in AUS P/N:7790772 - Power-/Control unit EDPL 200-KD220-240Vse. I can advise to check part number with Miele, providing your machines serial number. I hope that helps. Thanks.

Hi my Miele W1712 washing machine is showing a F63 fault

The F63 is an error when something is blocking in the water path. I would suggest to open the front access drain flap and check for any objects like pins, coins etc. remove them and this should clear the error.

i,

this is a tachogenerator fault or the drive motor brushes are faulty. you will need a Miele service tech or a Miele service agent to look at this.

What the meaning of f53 ptoblem?

Error code F53 on Miele is a speed sensor fault.
It has detected the drum speed to be wrong at some point and has indicated the problem to you.
Have you tried unplugging it. That will reset the computer.
If it's not coming up again after unplugging it, I'd not worry about it.
If it is coming up every time you use it, then you have either a faulty sensor, motor or pcb.
Miele are extremely secretive with information on their appliances and this makes it hard to diagnose accurately faults on them.

How do I fix a F53 fault ona Miele W1712 Washing Machine

A call with the Miele tech helpdesk got me an answer: The tacho unit (coil) should have about 500 Ohm resistance, so they told me. My unit only had about 78 Ohm's, so I ordered a new brush unit (which includes the tacho). The new unit actually measures 250 Ohm, but since it was a new one I did fit it. It works like a charm again. No F53 fault code anymore.
The part no. is 6799642 - Module BSTV Mrt40 RK473. It cost me about 70 euro's including shipping. My machine is a type W3821, but the motor and brush unit with tacho is used on a variaty of models.
Cheers!
