Miele W1926A Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
How do I fix a F53 fault ona Miele W1712 Washing
A call with the Miele tech helpdesk got me an answer: The tacho unit (coil) should have about 500 Ohm resistance, so they told me. My unit only had about 78 Ohm's, so I ordered a new brush unit (which includes the tacho). The new unit actually measures 250 Ohm, but since it was a new one I did fit it. It works like a charm again. No F53 fault code anymore. The part no. is 6799642 - Module BSTV Mrt40 RK473. It cost me about 70 euro's including shipping. My machine is a type W3821, but the motor and brush unit with tacho is used on a variaty of models. Cheers!

The front support seals -felt around the top of the door -are worn out. You can order them online with your model # or call the parts distributor and tell them you need the replacement kit - it comes with the top and side seals. To get them separate is more money. You will have to take apart the front of the unit - top first - then the control panel and then the door (front). It supports the drum. You will need to scrape off the old seals and apply the heat glue for the seals. Put the new seals on and reassemble the unit. This should do it if it was rubbing on the front plastic.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I suspect that it is the conditioner/softener tray which needs a thorough clean, paying particular attention to the sentences in
BOLD ;-0)

Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
- Top catch-
push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
- release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
- lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
If this does not work, pull out the dispenser drawer far enough to be able to just see the softener tray, select the (final?) rinse and check that water is entering the tray. If it isn't there is a fault with the water distribution and an engineer call is required ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
