That is about right. 125 cc four stroke engines do not make enough power to exceed that speed.

Have a 1994 suzuki dr 125 se wont start . Just

Look under bike on kickstand. If there is a switch it will be right on the bracket which holds kickstand to bike.unplug wire and clean, somtimes is just dirt on contacts that causes the switch not to make up.use some wd 40 to clean and if there is any water in switch this will displace water and make switch operational.Worst case senario jump out switch and see if bike starts,If so replace switch and you good to go Good Luck.

Suggestions

The original silencer doesn´t let the engine breath, so a better silencer provides lots of more fun. Check this out: http://www.mg-sport.com/english/crd_e_22.htm You can also put a bit larger main jet in the carburator. Motorcycle tuning spesialists can also fix the cylinder head, and install more opening camshaft and harder valve springs(but is +10-20km/h at max speed so needed?).

Suzuki dr 125 1984 running hot on standstill, sluggish when rip throttle back and over heating and spark plug keeps going black any ideas thanks bike hasnt been on the road for 7 years just got it run

Running hot? Isnt this an air cooled engine? Have you drained the old fuel and put in fresh fuel? The black on the plug tells me its running rich, and that the carb will probably need to come off and be cleaned out. Also, add a inline fuel filter if at all possible.

Hi there i took my

Probably water in the carb. Condensation in the gas tank can make it's way into the carb float bowl. When it builds up enough water the carb sucks it into the engine. Bikes don't run well on water. Drain the float bowl.
