Speed sensors are usually located on the transmission housing to the front or firewall side of housing

It is located on the front of the transmission. you will see 2 of them one on the left under small transmission lines it is the input then to the right behind the radiator overflow there is the other one. Easiest way to change them is with a 1" deep well socket

it could be one or the other but without a scan tool you can enter manual diagnosics which would rule out the pcm or wiring

your vss location is on the top of the transmission towards the firewall. its on the right side of the rear engine mount. but i would recomend looking for it with a flashlight its hard to see.
