My windows says my hl-dt-st dvd+-rw gsa t21n is corrupt or missing, how do i get it back?it also says my IDT high defintion audio CODEC cannot start, does anyone know what has happened? i think i might have deleted the drivers by accident, i have a dell latitude d630, anyone know where i can get my drivers back?
I suspect that you are running Vista on your computer. If you have service pack 2 installed, then this is the reason for the missing drivers. When Microsoft issued SP2, they improved it worse. To make things worse, they will not correct the problem, instead, they issued Windows 7. Uninstalling the Windows drivers might help, but did not work for me. At start up, Windows should find the DVD drive as a new device, and ask for permission to look for and install the drivers. Click on no, and Windows will look for alternate drivers, from the firmware.
