To upgrade the firmware click here. If this doesnot resolve the problem there is nothing else you can do. its a mechnical problem. my HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4082N has a problem i cant up date the drivers in my computer it is missing so if in incert a cd it cant be found my HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4082N has a yellow exclamation an status Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
