Yamaha Riva 125 wont start

My xc125 wont make a sound at all when I try to start it, the headlightjust dims. I've disconnected (bypassed) the front brake, rear brake, and side stand switches. Still nothing. Battery and main fuse are good.Power is getting to starter relay. I jumped this connection and thestarter motor cranks so I tried a new starter relay. Still nothing.Tried a new starter cut-off relay, still nothing. Could the problem bein the ignition switch or starter button? Thanks Chris

SOURCE: I have a 1999 Yamaha Wolverine. When start button

it sounds to me like you have a faulty terminal, check voltage reading to the relay from battery pos terminal, now push and hold button and recheck on same terminal, if it stays at around 12volts check terminal on other side of relay it this is lower significantly than first side replace again with new relay. of both terminals voltage drops you have faulty battery.

SOURCE: 2000 yamaha vstar 1100 custom. starter problem?

I had the same problem 2001 XVS1100 Custom
this is a starter issue Over time the starter on this bike twists when its under a load.
Look at the two bolts holding the starter on if they are not straight across then its twisted. turn starter back in line with a pair of big channel locks and try to start this should do the trick if this works i would recommend taking the two bolts out and bend them back straight or replace and reinstall starter this should fixya problem

Hope this helps ...............Jimmyfixya

SOURCE: yamaha sr125 ignition problem "click"

I am having exactly same problem. re starting, battery and fizzz. At the bottom of the carb on bikes left side is s screw. get a glass or old clean jam jar, place the thin tube in jar that comes off the bottom of carb, turn screw. petrol should start flowing into jar. let out about two egg cups full into jar. re tighten screw. hold jar up to light. what you have done is remove any water from the carb. you should see any water floating below the petrol. NEED I SAY DONT SMOKE WHEN DOING THIS . The fizz i cleaned all the contacts of any white deposits around bulb holders in the indicator arms.tightened the wiring conectors. Removed and dcleaned the indicator switch.
