Rear windshield wiper does not go back into the stored position. Motor seems to work ok.

I have same problem with a 2004 Tahoe. The wiper hangs up on plastic bracket and won't go back down into off position. Design flaw?

Winsheild wipers wont work properly

just a suggestion: remove the wiper transmission from the motor. turn the motor on, then off so it returns to the park positon and re-connect the trans to it, with the trans in the park position as well. then try it. (make sure the motor is properly grounded.)
