Our new refrigerator suddenly began to alarm (the freezer side is fine.) We get a "door" code where the temperature used to be . We checked all doors and they are fine.

Opening the door and using the panel inside didn't help. We powered off and back on but nothing.

SOURCE: Driver's side door power locks are stuck; door stuck shut.

sounds like the rods are disconnected the clips hold the rods in place the latching mechanism holds the handle in place as well did you replace the speakers or did a shop? if a shop did then they caused this if you did then you may have caused this either way untill you reattach the rods none of it will work. you will have to manually open the door at the latch from inside teh door behind the panel.

This is only a possible solution to your problem. I had similar problem with my car. It turned out that the window locking toggle on the driver door not only prevented the other windows from being opened by passengers but also controlled the door locks. When I unlocked the window control I was able to unlock the door. Another possibility is the armature inside the door has come off the locking mechanism.

SOURCE: 1998 Jetta Passenger Door Won't Unlock

I had a similar problem with my son's 1998 Jetta K2 4 door. I sprayed loads of WD40 into the locking area from the end of the door through the clip slot, worked the mechanism sprayed some more and finally it start working. My mechanic said these are very prone to moisture causing rusting on the moving parts.

you might also have to drill out the rivets that hold the lock actuator on to be able to manage the last roller into the scissor assembly. Use larg 1/2 in sheet metal screws to reattach.

SOURCE: 02 VW Jetta locks, remote, lights, windows stopped working

Same problem with an '03 Golf--remote entry, power windows, and interior lights stopped working. This was easily fixed by replacing fuse #14, (10 amp), located in the driver's side fuse block.

Anti theft alarm going off every time we open door! car starts just fine, but alarm keeps going off for about 3 min, then stops until we open the door again.

Hi Yolanda, my name is Al I'm the owner of Big As Auto Repair, check us out at bigasautorepair.com Here is what most likely happened. When the tow truck driver opened the pass door with his tools, he most likely unhooked the alarm switch that hooks to the back of the door switch. If you know someone who can take off the pass door panel they can push the switch back onto the back of the door switch, provided he did not break the switch itself. In that case you'll need a new switch if it is broken, if it is not broken simply plug it back in and you should be fine. If you don't know anyone to remove the panel then go to my website and call me from the number on the website and I can guide you through the process. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Yolanda. GE Monogram side by side refrigerator not cooling, door not sealing either

You gave an excellent description, but you listed it on the Cars and Trucks section. You will not find too many Experts for Refridgerators on the Cars and Trucks section.

I would listen to the E3 Code and use your Web Browser for your make of appliance. Ask questions like "What is E3 defect in your brand of appliance?". The magnet idea is a good one, but check your door pivots at both the top and bottom of the Fridge. The door may not be aligned.

Some appliance makers have online Manuals for their customers.

For parts or possibly the answer of your E3 question, try Servall. They are a franchise, have been around for over 50 Years and may be listed in your phonebook. If not they have a Website. Also may be spelled as Serveall, but I think it is Servall.

I hope mu solution is helpful.

Citroen xantia alarm & stop light on dash

PSA cars with analog instrument clusters have the STOP light to alert drivers of irregularities in engine temperature or coolant that may cause severe damage to the engine. Check your radiator coolant level and top up when it's low. Don't forget to bleed the air from the cooling system. If problem persist, check for loose connectors to the Coolant Temperature Sensor(mounted on the cylinder head) and the Coolant Level Sensor (mounted on the side of the coolant refill tank). For the alarm, check ALL door switches including those for the front hood and the rear trunk. They may be shorted to earth or one of the door becomes ajar. Next time the alarm triggers, check which door looked like it's slightly opened. If so, realign the door hook located in the door pillar.

Sounds like a bad door switch on one of the four doors. The switches have multiple contacts to serve both the dome light and the alarm system. The actual switch button is under a rubber boot with ribbed sides. The switches themselves are under the interior trim behind the doors.

Drivers door won't shut or lock suddenly and light in the door does not come on. Is this a fuse and how can i mend it.

not likely a fuse if other door lock works. the little red blinking light comes on when factory alarm sets and alarm isn't setting because the drivers side door latch is not working properly and alarm thinks the door is still open because of micro switch in latch not tripping.

Ford Escort Alarm - Annoying Problem!

it seems that the contact circuit in the driverside door is the problem, it's obviously not the alarm itself others wise the same thing would occure on the passengerside. you have to remove the door panel on the driverside and inspect the wires in that circuit for corrosion which would cause no current to pass between the by pass switch the arms or disarms the alarm. please rate this
