It didn't give me a warning, it just stop working the other day. Now my window is set at half, since I can't raise it up all the way.
I have an 07 avalanche that did that to to the rear window. It was the switch. Take drivers side switch plate off and use one of the good switches on the drivers door. If it works roll it all the way to top and get urself a new switch. iIf it does not work then its the window motor. Good luck.............

To removethe window motor,Using a common screw driver go around the panel prying out the clips that hold the panel on.Be careful not to pull clip out of panel. The motor may have pop rev.or bolts holding it in.If pop rev.,you will have to drill them out, replace with bolts.

hmm, switches are hard to check ,you sure?,if so check the wiring between the drivers door and the body, from the drivers door opening and closing more than the rest, sometimes the wires will break inside the rubber boot at the hinge area ,cut the boot and peek inside.

If it is just on that side in a relatively new car with no damage check the following:
Fuses/Relays
Motor Inside Door for Window/Door Lock
It could be a coincidence that both failed at once, they could be linked, or they could be jammed together. Remove the door panel and check for any damage, failures, etc. Actuate the locks and windows with the panel off to see if anything moves/fails to move as planned.
