I have a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ and my drivers side window doesn't want to go up or down. All of the other windows operate good. It's just the drivers side that doesn't want to funct

It didn't give me a warning, it just stop working the other day. Now my window is set at half, since I can't raise it up all the way.

I have an 07 avalanche that did that to to the rear window. It was the switch. Take drivers side switch plate off and use one of the good switches on the drivers door. If it works roll it all the way to top and get urself a new switch. iIf it does not work then its the window motor. Good luck.............

SOURCE: driver side window won't go up

To removethe window motor,Using a common screw driver go around the panel prying out the clips that hold the panel on.Be careful not to pull clip out of panel. The motor may have pop rev.or bolts holding it in.If pop rev.,you will have to drill them out, replace with bolts.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 Chevrolet

hmm, switches are hard to check ,you sure?,if so check the wiring between the drivers door and the body, from the drivers door opening and closing more than the rest, sometimes the wires will break inside the rubber boot at the hinge area ,cut the boot and peek inside.

SOURCE: chevy colandro 2005, driver window

If it is just on that side in a relatively new car with no damage check the following:
Fuses/Relays Motor Inside Door for Window/Door Lock
It could be a coincidence that both failed at once, they could be linked, or they could be jammed together. Remove the door panel and check for any damage, failures, etc. Actuate the locks and windows with the panel off to see if anything moves/fails to move as planned.

Where is the fuse for the Driver Side Window

No fuse. there is a circuit breaker. If other windows work, it's not your problem. Your's is the motor or regulator. could be the the switch also. Not likely though.

The button on the drivers side door wont roll any windows down. It works occasionally but not all the time.

sounds like a bad switch on the drivers door panel seeing as how they all work from there own doors

Bought an 07 avalanche used at 30k miles. Burns about 2 quarts of oil every other week. No oil stains in driveway. White smoke occassionly when starting up. Dealership doesnt have a clue.

Replace the driver side valve cover. It leaks internally into the pcv system and gets burned. you don't see much smoke because the catalytic convertors burn it up.
