2007 Avalanche cruise control doesn't work even

i just had the same problem, it started after having to get a "jump start" for a low battery. after checking the fuse(under the hood #43) I disconnected the battery for about 60 seconds to let the computers reset. works fine now. don't know the original cause of the low battery, or the fault but don't want to pay the dealer service charge for doing the same thing...hope this helps ..billy

I have a 07 Avalanche

unfortunately it is probably the lock actuators on all three, this is a known problem on those, I have worked at a chevy dealer for along time and have seen this many times usually due to water intrusion in the connector at the lock actuator, have been lucky a few times and been able to clean the connectors..

Oil pressure

Remove the oil sender unit and fit a pressure gauge , start the engine and check pressure, seems odd the oil light and pressure gauge both showed a fault at the same time, perhaps the oil pump relief valve stuck open for a short time.

I have an 07 avalanche z71. I was driving the other day and the truck went into reduce engine power traction control disable check engine light and service air bag. Now it does it after five miles.

Get a computer diagnostics done and it will likely tell you what is wrong. You can buy readers now for less than $100.00. Otherwise you are really guessing.

Turn signal relay 2007 Avalanche ltz

There is no turn signal relay or flasher , Computer controlled by the BCM - body control module . Turn Signal/Hazard Lamps When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal switch to the BCM. When the hazard flasher switch is activated, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal/hazard switch to the BCM. The BCM then sends an ON-OFF voltage signal through the fuses to the appropriate turn signal and side repeater (export only) lamps or to all of the turn signal fuses for hazard operation. The driver door switch and passenger door switch also receive voltage from the BCM turn signal supply voltage circuits for the mirror turn signals. The door switches have no function or control of the mirror turn signals other than a pass through connection for the circuits. The audio chime is also activated when the turn signals are ON. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) receives the signals to activate the turn signal indicators over the GMLAN serial data system. When the hazard switch is pressed, all turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn indicators. This is something best left to a qualified repair shop that has a professional type scan tool . Could need new BCM , which would need programming . Scan tool would be able to check switch inputs for BCM .

Where is.turn signal relay

There are only fuses. The relay is built into the hazard switch. But usually it is the turn signal switch that is bad.

The oil pressure gauge on my 2007 Avalanche reads 0 and activates low oil pressure warning. Oil level is OK and engine does not sound like one with with no oil pressure; AKA no knocks or ticking

since you have no noises or ticking at all, you likely have a failed oil pressure sender/sensor. It is located right behind the intake on the driver side on the back of the motor. You are "supposed" to remove the intake to gain access to it (and it is much easier to get to), but you can remove it with a short oil pressure sender socket and a swivel adapter... its close but it comes out.

Front breaks lock up,while driving, park for a few minutes, breaks are fine

Could be that the callipers are jamming or the wheel is running tight. Check for wheel spin with the front wheels off the ground, they should spin with minimum effort. Could also be something wrong with the master cylinder. It may not be releasing properly and slowly building pressure to lock the brakes. After sitting for a while, it returns to normal position and releases the brakes. Mt Ford had a dud wheel bearing which would intermittently start to seize. When this happened, the anti lock braking system thought that the wheel was about to lock and would throw the brakes on and off without warning... Check your wheel bearings too.

My guess is the rubber bumpers for the fuel door are missing causing the door to sit in too far. Probably need like a pocket screwdriver to pop it open. New bumpers are available.
