We are trying to work with the software and can not figure it out. is there a manual for the photo editing software? I are trying to figure out how to superimpose our picture onto a background to create a new layout (i.e. adding a face to the group of princess or insert a face in one of the frames and being able to position it where we want it.

I just scan to the computer. Then in microsoft publisher i resize the picture the size i want by moving my mouse... i put it on the sheet exactly where i want it and print. I don't even have to save the publisher to do it. You can also resize fast in photoshop or any other photo program like Picasa (free online)

If you only want photoshop then try a torrent. But before trying that do note that its ILLEGAL

Open your picture, right click then select edit. And edit it from there.

You'll need to use photo-editing software. Photoshop is about $700. You can try the GIMP, it's free. http://www.gimp.org

This camera is not capable to shoot images in black and white as this is not a menu selectable feature of this camera. You can take the image in color and then download it to your computer and then using photo editing software change the image to black and white or monotone using the edit function in that photo editing program.

Printers and their drivers do not typically resize photos, you must use photo editing software to perform this task. One option is to print from Picture & Fax Viewer in Windows XP, it gives you the option of printing to a full page.

Install some program, photo editing, and learn from it. Study on the software. ACDSee may be a good software for what you need or maybe the bundled software from your printer.

As long as the camera is working OK, don't worry too much - the software isn't essential - yours is obviously in japanese, so unless you can read jap, installing a font won't help!. When the camera is connected to windows XP, it is just a disc drive - you can see it through windows explorer, and if you open the folder DCIM you will find all the pictures you have taken. You can copy these to anywhere you want. Also, you can use any photo-editing software to open/edit your pix. As I also have an olympus camera I am actually using the olympus software to open/edit the pix on the lumix! For a free photo viewer/basic editor try irfanview from www.irfanview.com. For a really good editor paintshop pro is good, but there are many editor progs outthere both free and pay. Just google photo or image editor
