You have tripped the overload switch. It should reset after it cools off. If it does not then there may be a small button, like on the bottom of a garbage disposal. Good Luck!

You may need to use lock tight on the threads. Also replace the standard washer with a lock washer if possible.

This is common IF the blade clamping nut becomes loose... the blade will free wheel on the arbor after the motor stops. It can tear up the arbor so investigate this possibility immediately.

SOURCE: dewalt miter saw .

Either the blade or the guard is out of alignment. You will have to check and find out which one is the culprit.

SOURCE: DEWALT DW705 MITER SAW BRAKE DOES NOT WORK

Could be worn brushes, dirty commutator or a combination of both. Unplug the tool and remove one brush at a time noting the condition and length. Use a flashlight look into brush tube and also not condition of commutator. I would blow is out with compressed air and you can try turning the brushes 180 deg and retry. That is usually the problem

Power is going to the motor on my dewalt 12 mitre saw but the motor is not spinning

Does the saw make any noise? If not it could be an open circuit in the field coils

Does not work intermitingly

Sounds like the brushes in the motor or the switch is bad. If you have a meter you can test the switch to rule that out.

I replaced the blade in the dewalt DW716 mitre, now the blade spins slow and trips my breaker??

Hello, W/D here.

Remove your new blade. With the hardware, bolt, washer, blade and cups off, try the saw. If it operates correctly, re-examine how the blade is installed One blade cup goes on, followed by the blade, then the other cup, followed by the washer and bolt assembly. If the cups were in the wrong order, the blade can drag against the frame of the saw, pulling too many amps, and tripping the breaker.

I have a dw716 saw when you first turn on the blade wobbles then straightens up. I replaced the bearing and the gear spindle still same problem.

I own a DW716. My blade wobbled. I found that the small bearing on the motor end of the blade spindle had been pressed out a bit. This bearing is right behind (or perhaps attached to) the cap that shows on the motor side of gear assembly housing. I tapped it back in so it was flush to, or even a bit inset of the surface of the gear assembly housing and the wobble disappeared! Yeah! Cheap and Easy.
