You have tripped the overload switch. It should reset after it cools off. If it does not then there may be a small button, like on the bottom of a garbage disposal. Good Luck!

According to the service manual this saw has a 120VAC single phase 2.5 Hp motor with a 5/8" x 1.5"long arbor. It has a maximum vertical cutting depth of 2 and 15/16". It has a maximum cutting depth at 45 degrees of 2.125" (2 and 1/8") without the lower guards. The maximum cutting depth at 45 degrees with the lower guards in place is 1.625" (1 and 5/8"

I'm not sure why the instructions said to change the blade in order to cut the slot. I've made several of the zero clearance inserts (for different blades) and always made the slot with the blade I intend to use it with. Of course, you need to match the inserts to the blades (I just tie wrap them together.

If it continue to do it the machine had a "short circuit".So inspect the machine and look for any brake cable the is touch any metal part of it.

These saws have a rather large amount of draw on a 15 amp breaker... they should be able to operate on a 15 amp breaker, however nothing else can share that breaker.... and if it is an outside plug (GFI) it will be even more likely to trip. If possible, use a 20 amp breaker...they can be found in the garage where central vacuum plugs in. If this isn't an option then ensure nothing else is on a normal 15 amp breaker, use a heavy gauge extension cord, and the shorter the cord the better.

When you are facing the front of the table saw. Right above the Dewalt logo, there is a hand wheel that if you crank clockwise - it will tilt your table saw blade to the angle shown where the hand wheel is.

common problem with this saw is the brushes when worn down to about half inch, won't go into the brush holder any further and starts to arc against the commutator. eventually the heating will burn out the commutator. a replacement armature will cost you $75 plus shipping.
