If you can, check your wireless mouse with another computer to determine if it is working or not. If it works on the other computer, remove any M510 drivers from your computer. Plug the wireless adapter back in, and see if you computer recognizes it and the port it is plugged into (control panel/system/devices). If the computer recognizes it and loads software, try your mouse again.
probably the vx nano cordless laser mouse driver is not compatible with the operating system on your computer.
What is the operating system on your computer?
You need to download a driver compatible with it
go to the logitech website. Logitech.com support. give your model #. Download the complete software pertaining to your model and plug into usb the software will recognize the mouse.
a wireless keyboard or mouse mostly works in pairs and has a transmitter which normally should be connected to the computer's usb port. you may need to install the mouse driver depending on yuor OS. once this is done the mouse should automatically connect.
It sounds like the Drivers for the Mouse aren't be installed. Since it is a wireless mouse and receiver it will need separate drivers to function properly. If it came with a CD I would try re-installing any software that came on the disc. If not (I'm assuming its a Logitech Mouse here) I would visit the Logitech website (www.logitech.com) and see if you can locate Drivers there.
While this sounds redundant, check the batteries again, then hit the connection button on the receiver and the button on the bottom of the mouse. That will usually re-establish the connection. If that does not work, go into Control Panel and Hardware and uninstall the mouse, then restart the computer. That may get it recognized again. There have been some reports of issue where the because of Windows updates, some cordless mice no longer are recognized but they work on other computers. If that is what you have going on, there is no answer other than to get a different brand of wireless mouse that uses different drivers.
Yes, you need to install the Logitech transmitter for your cordless mouse. The acer transmitter uses a different frequency. You could try pressing the connect button on both the existing transmitter and mouse but that's not likely to work with different manufacturers.
Go to the Logitech website. In the support/downloads are you will find the software & drivers you need to install to your computer. You can download the generic logitech wireless driver & then let the new software determine the model. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
There is seperate software for Vista and XP make sure you have the right one. Both are here..... http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/428/133&cl=us,en
Also i have an MX700 and the mouse cradle has a tiny button on it, which is easily overlooked, see if there is something similar on yours. Press it to connect.
