My Father-in-law gave me a Vizio VX37L HDTV10A. He siad he shut TV off one morning and went to turn it back on that evening and it wouldn't come on. The Vizio emblem in middle of TV is amber colored then when Tv power button is pressed it turns white but nothing comes on. No picture or sound. Ideas?

0178 will work but you have to keep the set-up button pressed down for more than a few seconds after you press TV on your cox remote. (You will see the tv button light up 2 or 3 times after pressing it and holding the set-up button down)

RJW34 I have a 37" Viizio LCD that has a similar problem. I power it up and I get a lit screen but it's blank. No controls work except power on and off.

Change the batteries in your remote. If your cat was laying on a button it could have drained them.
Here's tip - you can use your camera on your cell phone to see the IR signal coming out of your remote. Point the remote at your cam and press "On" or any button. You should see a bright flash with every key stroke.
