SOURCE: control panel not working and fridge and freezer

You might have part of the answer in your own question - You would need to have it serviced - most likely the control board / electronic controls that has gone bad - this board controls compressor cycling and other functions of your refrigerator. Look for any error messages or blinking lights or a red service light if any - you could try unplugging your refrigerator for a few minutes and plug it in again if you are lucky and things reset otherwise have it checked. There is nothing much you can do on your own here without knowledge on the parts and how to locate it.

Other than control boards, if your compressor IS running but cooling takes a long time then check the condensers at the back if they are dirty, you need to keep those dust free and clean them about once or twice a year - warm, no cool, compressor running, I would then check for low refrigerant / leaks in the system (although rare). Most common problems affectin refrigerators are defrost timer problems, relays and controll boards going bad

SOURCE: Fridge too cold.Freezer OK.

You probably have an issue with one of the following:

* temperature control assembly (controls freezer and/or fresh food temperatures)
* damper assembly (allows air from freezer to fresh food compartment)

Contact an appliance service company.

SOURCE: my whirpool 6th sense american fridge freezer has

Be very careful, when the ice maker malfunctions, many things can be the culprit. The start device on some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. Mine recently caught on fire at this device that is located near the compressor. If you would like to be a part of the petition for a recall on this appliance contact me at [email protected]

We have a Samsung SRS702GDHSS fridge freezer after a power outage the control panel reads88 88 and none the buttons respond

Unplug the fridge, wait 2 minutes and plug back in. If symptoms remain then likely it was damaged. If you don't have a whole house surge suppressor then you need one. Modern appliances are extremely susceptible to voltage spikes.

Replacement motor and fan for BEKO American style fridge freezer has 3 wires, original has 4 and different plugs . Do I just connect same colours

Question moved from Cars and Trucks.

You can try, but it has 4 wires for a reason, perhaps low and high speed.

Google

make model condenser fan

Unless it is the evaporator circulation fan? You fridge has three fans. There are many types listed here.

After a power outage my maytag model MFI2569DEQ1 fridge display panel won't light up. Pushing any button lights up everything and 88888 across fridge and freezer temps...

Unplug it for a couple of minutes, Try again. It may have been hit with a surge. IF that is the case, you are looking at main control board and some money. Contact your homeowners insurance if a surge has damaged it.

Recently purchased a Beko fridge/freezer model GNE V220. Is this model problematic re fire hazard with defrost action?

If you just bought the unit, probably not as the fault is associated with units manufactured between 2000 and 2006. However, for the sake of completeness (and I'm posting this response on every BEKO defrost question in full rather than pointing people to my previous responses just in case!)
According to the London METRO magazine ( http://www.metro.co.uk/news/868330-beko-fridge-freezers-fire-risk-warning-issued-to-homeowners-amid-recall ) The MODEL numbers (not serial numbers) affected by the recall are as follows:
CDA543FX
CA5411FFS
CDA752FS
CDA645FW
CA5411FFW
CDA752FW
CDA647FS
CA5411FFX
CDA752FX
CDA647FW

CDA539FX
CSB4606FFS
CDA751FS
CDA543FS
CSB4606FFSD
CDA751FX
CDA543FW
CSB4606FFW

From what I can ascertain, the fridges affected were manufactured between January 2000 and October 2006
If you go to the BEKO website, there is a link to check your serial number:

My power went out and since it was restored my fridge won't come.

IIRC your refrigerator has an electronic control in the front face of the freezer door. Both sides have 3 buttons in a vertical column. Is there any sign of life on this control panel (IE do you see the stack of horizontal green bars lit up and does pushing the "freeze" or "fridge" button change them)? If not, then the most likely scenario is that you had a big power surge when the AC voltage came back and it blew out your control panel. If you can install an adequatley rated surge protector in the power line for your refrigerator you can prevent this from happening again.
