Make sure that you have the TV tuner set up to receive ATSC (digital) signals via "Off Air" or "Antenna". Having it set to the "Cable Ready" mode will only get you Ch 2 - 13. These settings are usually available in set up and may even allow the TV to scan for available channels, etc.
Must have compatible inter connect; some Sanyo sets don't have the optical digital output or wireless connecting capability. That's how they keep their prices down low. Sanyo is a good brand but don't have lots of features and I/O stuff on some sets.
The tuner in the RCA has poor sensitivity. Radio Shack sells a inline amplifier that may help, make sure you can return it if it doesn't. Move the antenna outside if possible and as high as possible, that may help. Good Luck!
You have to go to your menu screen and change the settings from antenna to cable that should take care of it, and should be able to do a auto scan to load channel memory
Then I would say you have a problem with the Main Board in the 37". Have it looked at by a service company in your area if he wants to work on a Vizio. Parts are difficult to obtain at times.
My husband tried to fix it and couldn't get it so I emailed you. I looked at it yesterday and found the screen I was looking for and was able to change it from antenna to cable. Thank You
