You will get engine specs from the engine tag serial number does not provide this.

if it not a diesel the more common motor that came in these trucks was a 351windsor some came with a 351 modified but very few if you call a parts house and look for say a carburator or something of that nature they should ask you what engine size and be able to tell you from the 8th digit of the vin.

Polaris xlt 1994 hey i start up me sled let it warm up then i push on the gas and it wants to die out solution??

I have a 1996 polaris xlt 600. I changed the coils, spark plugs, cdi box, put fresh gas, and did a compression check on motor witch read 98 across the board. I also rebuilt the carbs and they were tuned. My problem with this sled is when it gets warmed up the motor dogs out. could it be the water pump making this happen?

IT COULD BE A NUMEBER OF THINGS, I WOULD CHECK YOUR DIVE SHAFT AND JACK SHAFT BEARINGS, THAN YOUR CLUTCHES FOR WORN PARTS. IF THAT IS OK CHECK YOUR CHAIN AND SPROKETS. THAN DO A COMPRESSION TEST ON YOUR ENGINE.

I have a 2004 polaris prox2600 snowmobile with perc reverse and every time i engage the reverse button the sled shuts off any ideas would be greatly appreciated

did you let the sled warm up first? If the sled is'nt warmed up flip the choke lever while its running and quickley press the reverse button make sure you shut choke back off or you can load up your sled. Good luck let me know

check and see if u have ice on the back suspension
that would lock the track up or make the motor work harder that being it will bogg down

The petcock for the gas should be in line with the fuel line for it to be on. If it is perpendicular to the line it isoff.

Maybe the coil.../ If it gets too hot it will not spark,once it cools will work.. have seen the same in some of the older cars....
