Most blenders have similar issues and it occurs when you have a binding and the seal gets hot and the rubber wears away.
in this photo I replaced this part it was only 9.98 on Amazon.
But it was for a black and decker. Because you mentioned the blade felt loose I would try that.
search Amazon for blender parts, maybe use model number of your blender. But save picture to phone and then you have idea what you might need.

Unfortunately the gasket is obsolete, and there are no known replacements. The gasket is very perticular and i do not know of any other gaskets that have a similar shape.
you might have to order a new container, because i have not been able to find individual parts for sale. however, you might try and call the manufacturer, because sometimes you can order replacement parts.

Once you receive the parts, unscrew the collar from the bottom of the jar, and the old gasket and blade assembly will pop out - sometimes you have to peel the gasket apart from blender jar, but not always.
