check to make sure that it's wired correctly. R(red)power, G(green)common, Y(yellow)cooling, W(white)heating, O(orange), E(emergency)heat. Make sure that you have the correct thermostat because there is a heatpump thermostat and there is an air condition thermostat and they are wired differently.

To set the temporary override, press arrows up or down to desired temp. This will keep temperature
at temporary setting for 2 hours then return to programming. To permanent override press MODE button until schedule period number disappears (number inside little house on stat). Then adjust temp with arrows. Press the MODE button again to cancel override and return to programmable.
