Toner powder level is too low in the cartridge, you may refill the toner powder in the cartridge with a Samsung compatible toner(not made by the Samsung), or an option to replace the cartridge with a Samsung's MLTD 101 S genuine toner.

Check the feeder roller inside the printer for any foreign substance stuck to the roller, this may cause it not to grip properly. You can also try a few sheets at a time and make sure the paper tray is gripping the paper, but not too hard. If this fails, the roller may be out of place somewhat, try to reposition it. Exact same problem... took a couple of hours of fiddling but seems that to get it to stick you have to change the printer settings in windows rather than when you are actually printing a document. eg Control Panel > Printers > right click printer > Properties > (General tab) Printing Preferences > then for Double-Sided Printing select 'none' and press OK. Job done.

Dear You have not mentioned the model no. However certain model of SCX (viz-5315,6122 etc.) has a scanner lock bellow the platen body. That might have locked. Other has no locks, since no movement of CIS(scanner) results scanner lock. Mostly the platen cover and the scanner assy. realigned solve this problem. Also in case of small A4 SCX printer, slightly knock with your palm at both side of platen may sometimes over come the problem, make sure after your try machine should OFF and ON. if the above are not working, then the printer needs hardware replacement may be, scanner drive motor or Main PBA.
