Is the motor fan working may be getting too hot. Or you may be able to unplug it for a few minutes then plug it back in.

The issue could be the cold control, timer, wiring, or the compressor.

The temp control has to be closed for voltage to get to the timer. The timer then calls for the fans and compressor to run. The timer could have stalled after a defrost cycle or the cold control could not be sending voltage to the timer.

Strangely enough my refrigerator does the same thing.

The problem is that the drain hole at the back of the compartment is blocked with gunk, this causes the collected water to freeze overtime and can effect the temperature in the fridge.
The best way i found to clear the blockage was a smokers pipe cleaner or an artists paint brush.
After you have cleaned the drain hole the fridge will stop freezing up, all you have to do is periodically check on it to make sure excess water is not building up.

the wine cooler has to be at least 3" away from the wall, do not block the air flow to the condenser. or check power plug to outlet is it secure.
