No start cold
sounds like you have a weak battery since cold weather will reduce the strength of your battery. The click is the starter solenoid trying to engage the starter but it doesn't have enough power from the battery to make it happen. Time for a new battery........Also I don't know where you live or how cold it gets but in really cold weather you need to plug in a bock heater to your car so the engine will start, if you live in a warmer climate your car might not even have a bock heater but if it does you could plug that in to make it easier starting but first I recommend you get a new battery.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.
I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Hooked up a Viper 5301
It sounds like you have your ignition and starter wires reversed. The remote start programs when the ignition wire sees 12 volts and then loses the 12 volts. If you have the remote starts igniton wire on the trucks starter wire then that is why you can prgram it when you start it only... cause you get 12 volt only when the truck cranks and then loses the 12 volts once it is runnng. You may have the right colors from the remote starter correct but check to see if maybe from DEI they have the wires in the wrong positions.
I had a 5301 installed this week in a 07 Nissan
Sounds like the tech didnt hook up to the heater acc. wire located at the ignition cylinder. The color of the wire in the car is green\ yellow tracer.... Color of the wire from remotestart is orange. So find where the orange wire from the starter is and hook it up to the green\ yellow wire.
I try to start my
my best advice is to rip it out as if it is what i think it is then it has a chip malfunction and no amount of programming will reset it ,i never advise anyone to fit after market alarms or remote starters as a year or two down the line they always give problems like this .I know because i answer enough questions on here to find out the best antitheft device going is a nice padlock and chain from seat bracket to the steering wheel .i know modern cars have factory immobilisors but as a visual deterrant ??? nothing like a chain with a secure padlock
Viper Alarm app says Not Armed but locked
If the Viper Alarm app is showing that the alarm is "Not Armed" but the vehicle is locked, it is possible that the alarm system is not communicating properly with the app.
One solution is to try resetting the alarm system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This can sometimes help to reset the communication between the alarm system and the app.
If this does not work, it may be necessary to contact Viper customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide troubleshooting tips or suggest a software update for the app or alarm system.
