Just bought a 1995 klx250 white plastics I was told it needs a new cdi unit is it only the igniter that I would need and does this model have a battery as I haven't looked yet @

SOURCE: I have a 1985 xv700 virago. one of my plugs are
follow the plug wire back to the coil and see if there are any breaks, if not might switch coil with the other one and see if the other plug now misfires, if so replace the coil, most cdi problems are not intermittent, typically they either work, or they dont.

HI MATE YOU NEED THIS BATTERY THE NUMBER IS (YTX7L-BS) JUST TYPE IT IN ON GOOGLE AND LOTS WILL COME UP

-check the fuse right hand side below the fuel tank and seat, see if it is blown.
- Check to see if plug has spark, replace if necessary .
- Did you run the bike with a low battery before replacing it? could be that your stator is shot.
-Is bike trying to start but won't?
