Compression, check with a compression tester
Fuel, is it clean and fresh. Is it getting to the spark plug, it is wet with gasoline?
A spark at the right time. New spark plug and engine correctly timed. A nice fat blue spark if you put the plug against the cylinder head?

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Hi, Brandon TTY fasteners were first used to clamp together bi-metal components such as aluminum and cast iron engines, and aluminum brake knuckles. TTY fasteners are now found on all kinds of vehicles. Unless the "service manual" specifically states not to reuse the fastener it is ok to use them again.
Buying new bolts may seem expensive. After all, the old bolts still look good, but looks can be deceiving. Reusing the old bolts can cause expensive engine failure. Hence only new bolts can provide the even clamping force needed on today's engines.
Why do we need these torque to yield bolts now? We didn't need them in the 1960?s or 70?s! The simple answer is engine materials are different. Aluminum cylinder heads expand at a different rate than cast iron blocks. As an engine warms up, bolted together parts have to move against each other or slide on their gaskets. Therefore the elastic properties of the torque to yield bolts allow movement between parts yet maintain even clamping loads and sealing.
When a shop manual indicates that a bolt is to be discarded and new ones used, they are almost always torqued to yield bolts.
TTY studs can be identified by sight because of the inset hex head at the end of the stud. Always check the service information to get the right amount of torque for a suspension component TTY or otherwise.

Try looking at the main fuse (30amp) on the starter solenoid. Make sure handlebar run switch is to on position - we all do it! and also check battery connections are tight - especially the negative lead.

Gebruik een voltmeter op de batterij een uur nadat je de fiets hebt uitgeschakeld. Het moet minimaal 12,6 volt zijn. Controleer het nog een keer in de ochtend. Het moet nog steeds 12,6 volt of meer zijn. Als dit niet het geval is, kan er iets worden weergegeven als de sleutel is uitgeschakeld.
Als het een carbureted fiets is en de omgevingstemperatuur is warm, is het mogelijk dat je je choke / verrijker te veel gebruikt. Probeer het eerst aan te zetten terwijl de choke eerst is uitgeschakeld en probeer dan de choke half en dan volledig te stikken. Als je begint met te veel stikken, zal het overstromen. Nadat het is gestart, schakelt u de choke na 15 - 30 seconden uit en gebruikt u vervolgens het gas om de fiets te laten draaien totdat deze opwarmt. Overmatig gebruik van de choke zal uw bougies roesten.
Een nieuwe set goed geslepen bougies kan veel verschil uitmaken in hoe gemakkelijk een fiets start.
Motoren hebben een rijker brandstofmengsel nodig wanneer ze koud zijn. Een inlaatlek kan ook een hard starten veroorzaken, omdat het uit het lucht / brandstofmengsel leunt.
Nadat je de motor hebt gestart, spuit je wat WD-40 of carb-reiniger rond de verzegeling van het inlaatspruitstuk van de carburateur. Als de RPM verandert, hebt u een inlaatlek.

Hi, Anonymous before testing any electrical component in the Starting Circuit it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Engine Run Switch is "FAULTY" or corroded.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
5. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
6. FOB battery low or dead.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Faulty starter button.
9. Faulty kickstand, clutch, neutral safety switch.
10. Security alarm needs a reset.
11. Starter relay, solenoid, starter motor or circuit wiring faulty.
12. Starter armature or field coils have failed.
13. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
14. Faulty ignition relay.
15. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
16. Check for engine trouble codes.

Hi, Jim your instrument gauges and lights can alert you to most electrical and engine issues they can not warn you about failed engine gaskets or seals so your engine has to resort to old fashion alert methods of colored "SMOKE SIGNALS" here is a breakdown of their meaning:
1. COLORLESS OR SLIGHTLY BLUE SMOKE on start-up means your air/fuel mixture is the right composition and everything is well burnt in your combustion chamber.
2. BLUE SMOKE on startup is usually caused by failed valve seals dripping oil into the combustion chamber when the engine is not running.
3. YELLOW OR BROWNISH SMOKE at start-up means your air/fuel mixture is too lean. Too lean means that there is low fuel but high air mixture in your combustion chamber.
4. WHITE SMOKE on startup may be caused by a blown head gasket allowing coolant to enter the combustion chamber and may start dripping out of the exhaust pipes or mufflers. Smoke while riding is usually caused by worn out or damaged valves, seals, guides, pistons, rings, or cylinder walls.
5. BLACK SMOKE on startup is usually caused by too much fuel in the combustion chamber this can be due to air/fuel mixture adjustment too rich, accelerator pump improperly adjusted, faulty choke or not in the off position, air filter dirty and clogged, faulty carburetor float needle and seat, pilot jet too large, fuel injectors leaking, smoke while riding is usually caused by the main jet being too large or a damaged carburetor.
It should be noted that aggressive or abnormal throttle operation will cause these conditions to manifest themselves exponentially.
