Number 1 tip. Maintain battery voltage when changing batteries using a charger, a battery minder, jump leads or even 2 lengths of wire as you disconnect the clamps on the old battery and connect the new.
Most likely installed backwards briefly - blew module OR battery has no power to car due to corrosion or lack of charge. Remove and reattach old battery to check Insufficient info - why alt. Changed ??
Try your other key. Sometimes after the alarm has been set off the computer no longer recognizes that key. Its part of the security system. It will crank buy not start. To use that key again it will have to be reset with something from the dealer or you can completely unhook your positive on your battery. Getting help from dealer is easier...believe me!
ignition switch had been replaced in 2005.(did not know this at time of question).we were using the old key in the new lock.when using new key problem solved.
